MY TURNING POINT (PART 3)
Isaiah 61:1-3
The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me; because the Lord hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound; 2 To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn; 3 To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that he might be glorified.
A turning point is not something that happens by chance but a result of engaging with God's word and acting in faith to experience a dramatic positive change in life. It is not what you wait for, but you enforce through violent faith and actions. Testimony of how God delivered me & my family from an attack. Turning point is not for the lazy, faithless, and unconcerned believers, but those who are committed to the development, progress, and continuous change of levels from glory to glory. You cannot be turned more than you are willing to press harder for a change of story. If you are less concerned and doing nothing about yourself, but expecting God to do everything for you. A Turning Point is a life-defining moment that births a memorable experience of change and advancement. A turning point is not necessarily the destination, but a U-turn to change the path leading to the desired destination. It’s not the final stop. A turning point can sometimes be like a U-turn on an expressway after going in the wrong direction. For Someone turning point can mean a change of heart.
WHAT TO DO DURING THE SEASON OF YOUR TURNING POINT
1. Understand God’s agenda for that season: For every turning point, there is a lesson God is teaching. The greatest mistake you will make is to think that the season is about you. Matt 4:1-11 The temptation of Jesus was a turning point. Jesus understood God’s agenda, so he never allowed the devil entice him. There are decisions you take that put life on reverse. To couples, you will miss the whole essence of your marriage if you think it's all about you. You must ask what is in it for God. Understanding God’s agenda for the season is what solidifies your turning point. And this Understanding comes by seeking and asking. Asking vital questions, seeking clarity from the one who knows the way. Once you don’t understand what God’s agenda is, you miss the season of your turning point, which leads to repeating a cycle of life. God must take the lead! His agenda must be paramount; that’s what must drive us. Turning Point is not just something that happens to us; it must happen in us if it is to be sustained. Turning point is meant to build something lasting in us, but this only happens when you understand God’s agenda in every season. Something has changed in your life, things are going smoothly, but why are things working so well this period? In everything, God has His agenda. Do you know God’s agenda for that season, or do you think it's all about you? A preacher said God has a story He wants to tell with everyone's life.
Will your story look like David, who made some mistakes, but was still called a man after God’s heart, Or Nebucanezzer, whose story taught us where pride and arrogance can lead a man? Will your story be like Job or Joseph, who faced challenges in life but ended up being better versions of themselves because they worked with God to fully understand every turning point in their lives? Don't Waste Your Pain: If you are crying only for "relief," you might miss the "lesson." A Turning Point is not just the removal of the problem; it is the revelation of a new version of you. Today’s anointing service is anointing to enforce your turning point. The Anointing is an agent that causes a turning point; that causes a change.
1Sam 16:11- David was anointed, and he changed from being a shepherd boy to becoming the king of Israel. Judges 6:11- Gideon, after the spirit came upon him, he changed from a man hiding in the winepress to becoming a man of valor. 1 Samuel 10:6 KJV “and the Spirit of the LORD will come upon thee, and thou shalt prophesy with them, and shalt be turned into another man.” Isaiah 61:1-3 KJV “The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me, because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted,
2 to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound; to proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn; 3 to appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified.”
