In the first book, O Theophilus, I have dealt with all that Jesus began to do and teach,
What Jesus Began to DO- The Work of Jesus didn’t end with the cross, the Resurrection and the Ascension
Love has been perfected among us in this: that we may have boldness in the day of judgment; because as He is, so are we in this world.
Luke Says- “It is what Jesus began to do”- Acts tells us how He continues
As He is So we are in the World-
Jesus Started a work and He continues to work through His People

What is the Work of Jesus
To do the will of God
Jesus only came because of the Will of God
John 3:16- For God so Loved the World that He gave His only begotten son
Jesus carried out the will of God
So Jesus said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of his own accord, but only what he sees the Father doing. For whatever the Father does, that the Son does likewise. For the Father loves the Son and shows him all that he himself is doing. And greater works than these will he show him, so that you may marvel.
For I have come down from heaven, not to do My own will, but the will of Him who sent Me.
To Preach the Gospel & Set captives Free
“The Spirit of the Lord is upon me,
because he has anointed me
to proclaim good news to the poor.
He has sent me to proclaim liberty to the captives
and recovering of sight to the blind,
to set at liberty those who are oppressed,
to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.”
To Heal the Sick
And he went throughout all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues and proclaiming the gospel of the kingdom and healing every disease and every affliction among the people. So his fame spread throughout all Syria, and they brought him all the sick, those afflicted with various diseases and pains, those oppressed by demons, those having seizures, and paralytics, and he healed them.
That evening they brought to him many who were oppressed by demons, and he cast out the spirits with a word and healed all who were sick. This was to fulfill what was spoken by the prophet Isaiah: “He took our illnesses and bore our diseases.”
And he said to her, “Daughter, your faith has made you well; go in peace, and be healed of your disease.”
When the crowds learned it, they followed him, and he welcomed them and spoke to them of the kingdom of God and cured those who had need of healing.
Isaiah prophesies that Healing is part of the atonement when he Says
“By His Stripes we are healed.”
To build the Church
And I tell you, you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.
built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus himself being the cornerstone,
As you come to him, a living stone rejected by men but in the sight of God chosen and precious, you yourselves like living stones are being built up as a spiritual house, to be a holy priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.
Jesus Himself is the foundation that we are built on
To dismantle the power of the Devil over lives
how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power. He went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with him.
Whoever makes a practice of sinning is of the devil, for the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the works of the devil.

Then Jesus, being filled with the Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness,
And Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit to Galilee, and a report about him went out through all the surrounding country.
The holy Spirit is the Anointing that Jesus has given to Believers
But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”
Before Jesus commissioned them to God into the World He told them to wait for power from on High
The Promised Holy Spirit is the power to do the the things that Jesus Did
Faith is the access key to the Power of the Spirit
“Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father.
If you don’t believe you don’t do
If you don’t Believe then you don’t act
If you Don’t act you will never see
Those who do wickedly against the covenant he shall corrupt with flattery; but the people who know their God shall be strong, and carry out great exploits.
Great Exploits are done by those who know their God
What Do you Believe?

Do You Believe that God can work in you and through you ?
Now may the God of peace who brought up our Lord Jesus from the dead, that great Shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant, make you complete in every good work to do His will, working in you what is well pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen.
God has Good works for You
God has Good works for You
there is an anointing for your life for the good works that you are called to do
For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.
So are saved by Grace for Good works!
The Anointing is the presence of God that Works through you for the Gospel
But you have an anointing from the Holy One, and you know all things.
Anointing comes from the Holy One
But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you.
The Anointing Comes From the Father
But the anointing that you received from him abides in you, and you have no need that anyone should teach you. But as his anointing teaches you about everything, and is true, and is no lie—just as it has taught you, abide in him.
The Anointing is an Abiding Anointing- Meaning it doesn’t go aeway
Little children, you are from God and have overcome them, for he who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.
The anointing of God is the Holy Spirit’s presence not Just for you but it flows through you to others

To them God chose to make known how great among the Gentiles are the riches of the glory of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.
Christ in You
The word Christ = “Anointed One.”
So literally: The Anointed One and His anointing in you.

He said: “He who believes.”
The condition is faith, not title.
Greater works does not mean greater in quality—but greater in scope and multiplication.

These things we also speak, not in words which man’s wisdom teaches but which the Holy Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual. But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. But he who is spiritual judges all things, yet he himself is rightly judged by no one. For “who has known the mind of the Lord that he may instruct Him?” But we have the mind of Christ.

If:
He healed then — He heals now.
He delivered then — He delivers now.
He provided then — He provides now.
Jesus did not perform miracles to prove He was God only.
He demonstrated what the anointed life looks like.

This Holy Spirit is for all who believe-
“ ‘And in the last days it shall be, God declares,
that I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh,
and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy,
and your young men shall see visions,
and your old men shall dream dreams;
the pouring out is for all flesh
All who Believe
This takes you from being a spectator to an anointed minister
This takes you from being a spectator to an anointed minister
Many believers admire miracles like sports fans in a stadium.
But you were not saved to clap.
You were saved to carry.
Key Truth:

The Church is not a museum of past glory.
It is the living body of Christ in action.
You are:
His hands
His voice
His compassion
His authority on earth
Make your Prayer that God moves through you-
that God uses your life
That you have boldness to step out and act and see that the Spirit of the Sovereign lord in upon you!
