Why do we need to go to church
Because the Bible says so. Simple statement but very true.
Peter and John went. - healing of the lame man
Jesus went - 12 years old. Multiple times scripture records Jesus going to the temple.
2. The presence and glory of the Lord
2 Chronicles 5:14 “So that the priests could not stand to minister by reason of the cloud: for the glory of the Lord had filled the house of God.”
1 Kings 8:10–11 “And it came to pass, when the priests were come out of the holy place, that the cloud filled the house of the Lord, So that the priests could not stand to minister because of the cloud: for the glory of the Lord had filled the house of the Lord.”
Exodus 40:34–35 “Then a cloud covered the tent of the congregation, and the glory of the Lord filled the tabernacle. And Moses was not able to enter into the tent of the congregation, because the cloud abode thereon, and the glory of the Lord filled the tabernacle.”
Ezekiel 10:4 “Then the glory of the Lord went up from the cherub, and stood over the threshold of the house; and the house was filled with the cloud, and the court was full of the brightness of the Lord’s glory.”
Isaiah 6:4 “And the posts of the door moved at the voice of him that cried, and the house was filled with smoke.”
3. The need to be among fellow believers.
4. The need to hear the Word of God.
5. Online is simply not the same. You don’t get the connection you get when you are in church with other believers.
