Safe on Your knees

Last Saturday we watched a parade of fire trucks. October is Fire prevention month. We talk about fire prevention and safety during this time.  If there is a fire, do you know what to do?  Drop to your knees and get where it is safe.  The smoke is up here and it is safe down here and you can breathe. That is pretty good stuff to know.

I think that this is pretty good advice for Christians.  When things get hot and life gets tough we need to drop to our knees.  That is what Jesus did.

Mark 14:35  tells us that it was getting tough for Jesus
35 And He went a little beyond them, and fell to the ground and began to pray

It is safe down here on your knees. Jesus knew that and He set the example for us. If it was good enough for Him it should be good enough for us.
