Threats, jail time, torture…all things we try to avoid. Yet early believers faced hardships with tremendous joy, honored that God considered them worthy to suffer for Him. Have we counted the cost of following Jesus? The greatest happiness is found not by chasing happiness, but by chasing Jesus.
