World’s Last Chance is a small religious ministry that teaches a distinctive set of beliefs based on its own interpretation of the Bible.
They claim to be Christian but many of their doctrines are not Orthodox Christianity.
Here’s an overview of what they believe, based on their own statements and how outside observers describe their teachings and from their Core Self-Described Beliefs (from WLC’s own materials)
Biblical authority
They assert that the Bible (Old and New Testament) is the divinely inspired, only infallible rule of faith and life.
God and salvation
There is one Creator God, whom they refer to by the Hebrew name Yahuwah. They emphasize the importance of knowing and obeying God’s will as revealed in Scripture.
Salvation involves being justified by faith in Yahushua (their preferred Hebrew form of the name Jesus). Justification, sanctification, and ultimate glorification are part of the Christian life… This is very works centered.
Return of Christ
They teach that Yahushua’s return will be visible and world-changing, not a secret event, and that believers should be ready at all times.
Lifestyle adherence
WLC teaches that moral law, especially the Ten Commandments, remains binding under the New Covenant and that believers should strive toward holiness.
They also promote adherence to certain dietary laws from the Old Testament, viewing them as beneficial and still applicable.
Heretical Teachings
WLC holds several teachings that are unusual or controversial compared to mainstream Orthodox Christian theology
View of God
They reject the traditional doctrine of the Trinity (Father, Son, Holy Spirit as three Persons in one God), instead emphasizing the Father (Yahuwah) as the only true God.
They use Hebrew forms of divine names (Yahuwah, Yahushua), which they consider essential for true worship.
Calendar and Worship
WLC promotes alternative calendars, based on lunar calculation for observing Sabbath and holy days, rejecting the modern Gregorian calendar as deceptive.
Eschatology (End Times) & Conspiracy
WLC emphasize last-days preparation, warnings against what they see as false teachings, and claim that many traditional churches are apostate. WLC holds many conspiracy-oriented interpretations related to Catholicism and global religious trends.
Cosmology
Their official materials include statements interpreting Scripture as teaching a flat Earth and a literal firmament.
Final Thoughts WLC
WLC blends Christian terminology with doctrines that depart from historical Orthodox Christianity, including non-Trinitarian theology, unusual calendar teachings, and strong legalistic elements. They are at best a Christian cult
