Why Study the Bible?
Why Study the Bible?
It is the written word of God. 2 Timothy 3:16–17 “All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.”
Hebrews 4:12 “For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart.”
We see God’s character and who He is through scripture
How we should handle things in a Godly way and how we are able to be led by Him Ps. 119:105
The Bible
The Bible yet it is a very complex and sometimes difficult things to understand it is ment to be known and understood.
Bottom line is that if you have the ability to read you have the ability to know and understand the Bible
It is important to know the word and study it for ourselves because throughout the scriptures it warns us against false teachings. How are we able to identify false teaching if we don’t study the word for ourselves.
We as a society constantly ask to hear the voice of God weather that is for advice, discernment, or direction. How can we expect to hear the voice of God if we don’t even take the time to know the WORD of God (The Bible)

It is incredibly important for us to be able to read and interpret scripture for ourselves. We are to study the Bible for ourselves and put teachers to the “test” (1 John 4:1” )
Dear friends, do not believe everyone who claims to speak by the Spirit. You must test them to see if the spirit they have comes from God. For there are many false prophets in the world.
in order to know that what they are teaching is the truth (be aware of false teachers) By doing this we inevitably grow closer with God knowing Him more and more.
