Genesis 11:4 And they said, Go to, let us build us a city and a tower, whose top may reach unto heaven; and let us make us a name, lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth.

To begin with brothers and sisters, Christian friends, Well Wishers and Saints of God, as we learn about God’s word I just want us to listen to the tint tone and timbre in the title of the text, Don’t Get A Nimrod Spirit.

This is a big old bible and I’ve been here three years and I’ve never preached from the Genesis 9-11 text about Nimrod. And just for the record I am a vivid admirer of Great Man made Structures. I love looking at the architecture of various designs. And because it’s Black history month I want to say that I’m supper impressed with the building of the great pyramids in Egypt Africa and those in South America with the Mayan Empire. That alone ought to tell us that we are not an inferior race of people but a superior race of people. I did my DNA testing and I’m 70% African 13% European 15% Native American and 2% Asian Islander Whattttt. But how many people know that according to their census that if I have one drop of black blood in me I’m considered Black.. And so that’s where I want to drop the anchor at today. Nimrod was a Black man. I know this because his grand daddy was named Ham. Ham was Noah’s son. Noah had three boys. Shem Japheth and Ham. Alright 3x Japheth represents the Caucasoid or white people. Shem represents the Asian or Chinese people . and Ham represents the African or Black people. And Ham’s offspring is named Nimrod. The most advanced civilization started with people of Color. ATCSA. The modern marvels that we see like the building in AEU. with over 300 stories the design was based off of Nimrod’s thinking, Nimrod’s drawings, Nimrod’s engineering, and Nimrod’s architecture. They built the tah mal hall off of the design of Nimrod. They built the Hindu temple structure off of the design of Nimrod. In China they built the Buddhist temple and monastery on top of a mountain that so high until they hardly have breathable air to breathe. and that’s the Nimrod mindset. In Italy they built a church inside of the mountain on a mountain cliff and the people live way down there in the valley… I said to myself I wonder what that church attendance is like on Sunday Morning… All of this is a Nimrod ideology.. The idea is Nimrod’s thinking.

Brothers and sisters I’m just painting a picture of the master mind genius of Nimrod. On the surface it looks good it’s a marvel to behold but underneath it all it’s diabolical underneath it all it’s sinister, underneath it all it’s vain glory underneath it all it self aggrandizement at it’s finest.

If you wanted to see somebody fill of themselves look at Nimrod… And we got to careful not to look like Nimrod. Well somebody might ask How did Nimrod look Pastor? I’m glad you asked.

The bible says in Genesis 10:8 And Cush begat Nimrod: he began to be a mighty one in the earth. 9 He was a mighty hunter before the LORD: wherefore it is said, Even as Nimrod the mighty hunter before the LORD. Stay with me because this is the first appearance of Nimrod in the bible. And it starts off telling us that Nimrod was a great man. Nimrod was a mighty hunter gatherer before the Lord. Nimrod was an organizer and a leader. Nimrod had Mathematical and architectural abilities. Nimrod had intellectual abilities with Militaristic capabilities as well.

And the imagination of mankind crept in again. Wait what again? Hah? Yeah again because if you remember that’s why God destroyed the world by the great flood and only saved Noah and his family. But what’s in you… It’s going to come out of you. If you decent decency is going to show up. But if you rotten rottenness is going to show up. And that’s why I said Don’t Get A Nimrod Spirit.

Tell your neighbor: Don’t get it I’ve got to tell this story in a way that you don’t ever forget it. Let me use this avenue to get us to understand the acculturation of Black people in America. I did a research paper in the seminary of Black culture in a modern age. And through research I had to give facts about how we arrived to where we are now. And here’s what I discovered .

We came from kings and queens in Africa. We have royalty in our Blood in our DNA. ATCSA. And good or bad we have the Nimrod gene in our DNA. African tribes that were conquered were sold off to European slave colonizers. yeah sad but true our own black people sold us off to slavery. ATCSA And that same division is why we can’t come together on one accord right now in 2026. it’s sad but it’s true it’s in our DNA. We died by the millions in the transatlantic slave trade.. They talk about the horror of the holocaust with over 6 million Jews being exterminated by Adolph Hitler and the Nazis. But triple that number of millions of us died coming here and to the Caribbean Islands and Brazil in south America as well of the 1619 project of slave labor in the USA. The white colonizers enslaved Black African in Hatti Jamaica and the Dominican Republic and Indigenous Indians we call them Mexicans Venezuela Belize Colombians and Latinos now days. And we see how terrible they are still treating these same people. ATCSA. Oh brothers and sister Nimrod ain’t nothing nice.

Alright black are here in America and we’re slaves.. We have no rights no freedoms, no say so in fact we were considered 3/5 a person. And we were sold on auction blocks to the highest bidder. For 400 years we endured this awful nightmare. Things got better and we had the abolishment of slavery. but it wasn’t over because then came share croping wher we still worked the land and never had emnough to pay our bills so our land the 40 aches and a mule was took from us before we could ever come up out of the hole. Then reconstruction and the great migration to the north and to the west... And what gets tp me is that negros from the north and the west think that they are better off. But to white folk you just a nnnn Don’t forget that!!! and then came the Jim crow south and now you legalized discrimination. Then the Civil Rights movement and Dr King and Rev Jesse Jackson nem singing we shall overcome. and lift every voice and sing until earth and heaven ring.… And by God’s hand we got to see in our lifetime president Barak Obama.. Change had come. And I think God for that change. And then now every effort of Affirmative action , DEI, Woke or You’re not going to replace us. And the fear is that we just might out number them and take them over and treat them like they treat us.

But Don’t be like Nimrod. Nimrod’s spirit is in our DNA. In my research paper from Christian Ethics Class I pointed out that the reason why we buy stuff we don’t need with money we don’t have is because we’ve gone so long without nothing we’re glad to have two nickels to rubbed together now. And we go and buy cars we can’t afford. live in homes we can’t afford buy clothes way out of our price range and spend bill money and tithe money on fun and the sun.

And I know I’m right because when I first started making money,, I couldn’’t wait to drive up to Southern Campus and show my professors that I had bought my first Cadillac.. Yeah… It was the Nimrod in my DNA. syndrome. Later on I discovered that none of that matter because None of my peers or professors was paying that high note.. And although I could press a button and the seat goes back press a button and the windows go down press a button and the truck open up . press a button and the sunroof top goes back but don’t pay that note and the whole car goes back. I had to learn that only what you do for Christ is going to last. Now I don’t buy nothing to impress nobody. Because here’s the thing we buy stuff to impress people we don’t know they don’t like and could care less about what you think you got.. Yes indeed.

And so Nimrod is a master builder. he has resources, personnel, skilled laborer and engineers and Nimrod has this god like complex. Nimrod represents the greedy for power syndrome, Nimrod represents the imperialistic rule of a so called superior society, and Nimrod represents the Niche Complex. The Niche Complex thinks of himself a his own god. And the bible clearly say the fool has said in his heart that there is no god. And Nimrod’s determination caught God’s attention… You do know that God ain’t gonna let evil just rule and reign forever right? Nimrod said We’ll build a building that reach into the heaven and we be as gods ourselves. Yes indeed. In Genesis 11:1 And the whole earth was of one language, and of one speech. 2 And it came to pass, as they journeyed from the east, that they found a plain in the land of Shinar; and they dwelt there. 3 And they said one to another, Go to, let us make brick, and burn them throughly. And they had brick for stone, and slime had they for morter. 4 And they said, Go to, let us build us a city and a tower, whose top may reach unto heaven; and let us make us a name, lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth.

than ever before. And Nimrod is saying if it doesn’t make no dollars it don’t makNimrod has an organized plan on how to dethrone God. That’s what this is all about. And we are seeing this in modern day America. A nation that supposed to be founded upon Christian principles. We see it turning darker and darker more and more sinistere no cents. yes indeed. Oh don’t you see they building a skyscraper trying to build it pass heaven. But the bible says the earth is the Lord’s and the fullness thereof and all of us that dwell therein

And God said Let us go down there .… Wait that the Trinity before the New Testament introduce the Trinity. Here’s what the bible says about it In Genesis11:5 And the LORD came down to see the city and the tower, which the children of men builded. 6 And the LORD said, Behold, the people is one, and they have all one language; and this they begin to do: and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do. 7 Go to, let us go down, and there confound their language, that they may not understand one another's speech. 8 So the LORD scattered them abroad from thence upon the face of all the earth: and they left off to build the city.

#1. In verse 5 The LORD God said let Me go down to see the city and the tower that the descendants of Adam are building.

#2. The Lord said this only the beginning of the bad stuff they are going to do. Yes indeed.

#3. If they get away with this there ain’t gonna be no stopping them… Sounds like modern Day America y’all.

#4. In Genesis11: 7 God said “Go to, let us go down, and there confound their language, that they may not understand one another's speech. That’s the trinity in the text The Us in the text in verse 7 is God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Ghost. And God said we’ve got to confound their language or this is going to be a disaster that won’t be able to be undone. God has to come in today in 2026 and deal with Project 2025. Them people have a 1200 page book on how to unravel all gains and liberties and freedoms and comforts and equity and inclusion and diversity etc etc etc.

And the bible says in verse 8 So the LORD scattered them all over the face of the earth, and they stopped building the city. 9 This is why it was named Babel, because there the LORD turned the language of the whole earth into babble. From that place the LORD scattered them all over the face of the earth. The Lord turn all oof that into Babel. And while I was researching this sermon I thought about this app you can get called Babel that teach you how to speak a foreign language .. Well this is where that came from. I didn’t pick it up until I read this in the bible.. In other words all of this stuff is right in front of us and ain’t nothing new under the sun.

And let me say this stuff been baked in the cake from the beginning against us.

And there are many cases in point to draw various conclusions but what hit me the hardest this year was when I discovered that Charles Patterson built the automobile first before Henry Ford. Charles Patterson was a Brilliant Black Inventor. He built the first automobile but the white folk pushed him our burned him down wouldn’t let him get the financing loans to compete in this capitalistic society that they were giving to white inventors. And I said to myself my daddy was mechanic in Mechanicville and he loved cars and I love cars and I love to see who engines work, transmissions shift and how rear ends propel the power. So I took offense when I learned that. Because in every facet of American Life the Black Man has helped to Build this country into the Greatest Nation on earth And before I close Listen to this.

The bible says out of the mouth the heart speaks. Whatever is in your heart you’re going to say it. And so I heard Rep. Shontel Brown say something that went into my spirit man and I’d like to share it with you today. She said The attack on one American is an attack on all. And What has Donald Trump done for Black Americans but put a target on our backs. She said They have moved the goal post further back. The game is fixed against us. It’s baked into the cake, with no apologies and not regrets. And now there are cuts too HBCU, Cuts to health care, Cuts to public and Cuts private elite schools especially if they are in the black community. She said there are Cuts for black owned businesses and Cuts to black entrepreneurship. There are Cuts directed at first time home ownership for African Americans and your credit score has too be twice higher than a white person’s is..

Now this is me talking now . “So what do we do? despite their brasen, blatant belligerent vicious venomous vomit , what do we do? I’ll tell you “we will stand our ground and we fight the good fight of faith. And as Mia Angelou said and Still I rise. Rep. Shontel Brown said Despite the cuts, the chaos, the cruelty, the corruption and the lawlessness of the current administration Black Americans will emerge stronger than ever before. And as Michelle Obama said When they go low we go High. And Dr. Jesse Jackson said I am somebody I am somebody I am somebody. and James Brown said say it Loud I’m Black and I’m proud 2x. And the Basketball player from LSU said when they won that championship a few years ago said you better put some respect on our name.

You ain’t gonna just run all over us we will fight this injustice because We’ve been here before and we have to teach our children that this too shall pass and we shall overcome and the Lord will make a way somehow. We will persevere we will prevail and we will perpetual propel African American toward our own success.
