According to scripture, In the meantime, what does God expect for us to do in a corrupt dark cruel world. What’s required of God’s people? Responsibility, Commitment, Faithfulness, Obedience. What should our response be?
According to Scripture, God expects His people to live as “light in the world” (Philippians 2:15) during dark and corrupt times, maintaining holiness while actively engaging in good works. Rather than withdrawing, believers are called to be in the world but not of it, acting as a redemptive influence through faith, obedience, and love.

What's required of God’s people?
What's required of God’s people?
Here is what is required of God’s people in a dark, cruel world:
Responsibility: Actively Countering Darkness
Overcome Evil with Good: The primary directive is to not be overcome by evil but to fight it with righteousness, compassion, and truth.
Be Light and Salt: Believers are to let their good works be visible, acting as a preservative and guiding light in a perverse society.
Do Justice, Love Mercy, Walk Humbly: Micah 6:8 summarizes the daily expectation: treating people fairly (justice), being generous/loyal (kindness), and walking in humble intimacy with God.
Be Stewards of the Truth: In a world of deception, Christians are to stand for the truth of the Gospel, acting as witnesses in their communities.
2. Commitment: Unwavering Faithfulness
Non-Conformity: Believers are commanded not to conform to the patterns of this world but to be transformed by the renewal of their minds (Romans 12:2).
Separation form Corruption: A call to “come out from among them and be separate,” refusing to indulge in the, immoral, or dishonest practices of the surrounding culture.
Perseverance in Suffering: Recognizing that suffering for doing good is participating in the sufferings of Christ, and remaining steadfast until the end (1 Peter 4:12-16).
Steadfastness: Maintaining a consistent, diligent life of faith that shows that God is great, even when life is hard.
3. Obedience: Following God’s Word
Obey God Rather Than Men: When human authorities or societal pressures mandate actions that contradict God’s law, Christians are obliged to obey God (Acts 5:29).
Living Holy Lives: Actively cultivating holiness and purity, avoiding sexual immorality, greed, and idolatry (1 Peter 1:15-16).
Daily Repentance and Prayer: A, constant, personal, walk of repentance, allowing the Holy Spirit to transform character and relying on God for strength.

What should our response be?
How to Live in a Cruel World
Love Enemies: Responding to cruelty with love, mercy, and prayer for persecutors (Matthew 5:44-46).
Do Not Seek Revenge: Leaving vengeance to God (Romans 12:19), trusting in His ultimate justice rather than retaliating.
Be Prepared/Watchful: Remaining alert to the signs of the times and prepared for the eventual return of Christ.
Find Contentment in God: When the “bad guys win” and injustice seems to prevail, believers are to find their joy and security in God, not in worldly success.
Summary of Requirement:
“Do justice, love kindness, and walk humbly with your God.” (Micah 6:8)
“Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good,” (Romans 12:21)
“Live clean, innocent lives as children of God, shinning like bright lights” (Philippians 2:15).
