The Names of Jesus

My boys—Elias and Ezra. There name has a meaning.

If we are going to say there is “NO OTHER NAME” but Jesus, we need to really understand what that means.

Jesus

Matthew 1:21 ESV

She will bear a son, and you shall call his name Jesus, for he will save his people from their sins.”

2. Emmanuel

Matthew 1:23 ESV

“Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and they shall call his name Immanuel” (which means, God with us).

Isaiah 7:14 ESV

Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign. Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.
