Karma can be blocked by forgiveness.

God sent us here because we would want to be here.

The Dead before Christ

They died before they knew the truth. Before being baptised and knowing the faith.

Fairness is not the goal of the bible but the bible is Just. Is it justice?

They have an opportunity to be saved as well.

1 Peter 3:18–19 NKJV

18 For Christ also suffered once for sins, the just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh but made alive by the Spirit, 19 by whom also He went and preached to the spirits in prison,

Who was Peter?

Born Simon, son of Jonas. brother of Andrew.

Married. His mother in Law was healed by Jesus.

His wife - Concordia who was martyred “Remember, dear, Our Lord.

His name, Peter (Ke-epha), was given by Christ. This was not transliterated like with most names, but translated like common nouns for some reason.

Difference.

Petros is Greek, Petrus is Afrikaan. Peter is English. If you called him Peter in his early days, he would not respond.

He was the one who:

Walked on water.

Was called a rock, for on this

Matthew 16:18 “18 And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it.”

But, he was brave, and impulsive, ready to fight. Easily angered and quick to judge. Not a first rock

On Thursday he said he would never deny Jesus, that same night he denied Jesus 3 times.

After resurrection, he changed.

He went to Jail for preaching the Gospel. Avowed to Continue.

his wife was matyred, Remember, dead, our Lord.

He was arrested by Herod Agrippa, remained true.

Like Jesus and Paul, he obeyed God’s laws in the Tanakh.

Jesus came to Clean up and Clarify and be the everlast sacrifiee, not to Remove the Law of God.

Men had added onto the law of God all these extra things that were loopholes and terrible. Jesus came to remind of you of the correct law, not to remove it.

Matthew 5:17–18 NKJV

17 “Do not think that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to fulfill. 18 For assuredly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, one jot or one tittle will by no means pass from the law till all is fulfilled.

has the Earth passed away?

Therefore, not one jot will pass away.

“Just BeLIEve”

This is the lie.

Sadly, in an attempt to get quantity of members instead of quality disciples, many millions of Christians were sold a religion that is super easy, all you have to do is believe. JUST believe.

Millions taught that God’s law, which he said would last forver, does not apply because Jesus didn’t mention it.

Jesus doesn’t talk about Marrying your mother - Is it allowed now?

Lord’s name in vain. - Is it is allowed now?

They want to pick and choose to make it easy. Because if it is easy, many can join. If many join, they can make more money from offerings.

? You know who just Believes. who believes in God and Jesus even more than you do?

satan and his demons. They have Faith.

They do not just believe, they know.

Satan has seen God, spoke to God, been in his presence. More so than you.

Christians that do not follow the law and Demons have this in common.

What is the difference between a Disciple of Christ and a Demon?

James 2:20–22 NKJV

20 But do you want to know, O foolish man, that faith without works is dead? 21 Was not Abraham our father justified by works when he offered Isaac his son on the altar? 22 Do you see that faith was working together with his works, and by works faith was made perfect?

Being a Christian starts with the baptism and the belief, but you must grow and add to that belief.

2 Peter 1:5–7 NKJV

5 But also for this very reason, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue, to virtue knowledge, 6 to knowledge self-control, to self-control perseverance, to perseverance godliness, 7 to godliness brotherly kindness, and to brotherly kindness love.

If faith is enough, why add any of these other actions?

1 Peter 1:13–16 NKJV

13 Therefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and rest your hope fully upon the grace that is to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ; 14 as obedient children, not conforming yourselves to the former lusts, as in your ignorance; 15 but as He who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, 16 because it is written, “Be holy, for I am holy.”

Peter says be holy in your conduct. Faith is not enough, it is just the start. He is quoting the Tanakh.

Peter says Makthub, it is written. Where is it written? the New Testament does not exist year - It is written in the Torah,

Leviticus 11:44 NKJV

44 For I am the Lord your God. You shall therefore consecrate yourselves, and you shall be holy; for I am holy. Neither shall you defile yourselves with any creeping thing that creeps on the earth.

So, Faith is just the beginning. We grow in obedience.

Ignorantia legis, neminem excusat

Ignorance of the law is no excuse.

For millions of christians who have passed on, they did not know better. They were in ignorance. they were misled.

They will be judged by the same standard.

Romans 2:6–12 ESV

6 He will render to each one according to his works: 7 to those who by patience in well-doing seek for glory and honor and immortality, he will give eternal life; 8 but for those who are self-seeking and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, there will be wrath and fury. 9 There will be tribulation and distress for every human being who does evil, the Jew first and also the Greek, 10 but glory and honor and peace for everyone who does good, the Jew first and also the Greek. 11 For God shows no partiality. 12 For all who have sinned without the law will also perish without the law, and all who have sinned under the law will be judged by the law.

Same Standard for those who know the law and those who don’t Your ignorance is no excuse.

Jew and Greek, different from today.

Greek is anyone who is not a Jew.

So what is a Jew?

Torah but many different demoninations.

Today we have Catholics, Protestants follow, Apostolics, Mormon, Jehovah’s witnesses. ALL Sadducees, Pharisees, Essenes, Christians led by Peter. SAME BASIS AND CORE - DIFFERENT LEADERS. Christianity is a sect or group of Jews that easily accepts outsiders to the faith and follows Jesus.

When Paul is talking of Jews, he’s talking of Jews in the Church of Christ. Jews who believe in Christ. They are different from the Greeks because the Jews know the law and have the background, the Gentiles still need to learn it.

Those who sinned without knowing the law, will not get everlasting life. If you do good, you will be saved, whether you know the law or not. If you do evil, you will be condemned, whether you know the law or not. God is not partial, he will look at your works according to the Law and his mercy.

Ignorantia legis neminem excusat.

Special place in hell for false teachers

Some teach that God is a Trinity. Father son and holy spirit are one. That is the nice part. If the Father speaks, the Son speaks. If the son speaks, the Father speaks, If the Spirit speaks, they are all speaking. Becuase the Word is with God and the Word is God. ONE WORD.

But then, when it come to commandments, they are separate?

The Father gave the commandments in the Old Testament, Then the son gave different ones in the New, and the Holy spirit is givin brand new ones today????

Strange disconnection that should make you think immediately is Peter is direct about this and he warns us about them.

2 Peter 2:1–4 NTMS:ITEETRGT

1 But there were also false prophets among the people, as there will be teachers of falsehood among you also, who will cunningly introduce fatal divisions, disowning even the sovereign Lord who has redeemed them, and bringing on themselves swift destruction. 2 And in their immoral ways they will have many eager disciples, through whom religion will be brought into disrepute. 3 Thirsting for riches they will trade on you with their canting talk. From of old their judgement has been working itself out, and their destruction has not been slumbering. 4 For God did not spare angels when they had sinned, but hurling them down to Tartarus consigned them to caves of darkness, keeping them in readiness for judgement;

2 Peter 2:9 NKJV

9 then the Lord knows how to deliver the godly out of temptations and to reserve the unjust under punishment for the day of judgment,

There is a special place in hell for False prophets.

But, there is hope.

Like Jesus went to preach and pray to them, we can also preach and pray for them. Pray that their souls are not damned because they didn’t know better. God should show them mercy and grace and love.

But, our loved ones are victims of their talk. This service are dedicated to praying for them for God’s understanding and mercy.

The dead may have an excuse, they were misled or didn’t know better. We hear the law and have to do it.
