Fear of the LORD
Fear of the LORD
What does that mean––to fear God?
To have awe, reverence, and respect toward God rather than terror or dread.
The Beginning of Knowledge
The Beginning of Knowledge
Know God
Know God
He is the Sovereign Creator of all.
He is holy, righteous, and just.
Know Yourself
Know Yourself
You are made in God’s image. What does that mean?
You are cursed by the Fall. Adam’s sin nature was passed down to you. You were born in sin; it is part of your nature because of the Fall. Therefore, out of that nature, you sin and rebel against God just as Adam did.
Because of this, you need redemption.
Know Christ
Know Christ
He is the God-Man. God the Son Incarnate. Second person of the Trinity.
He is the one and only Redeemer who can reconcile you to God.
Know the Response
Know the Response
Repentance and Faith. They go hand in hand. Two sides of the same coin. True repentance accompanies true saving faith. Where there is true saving faith there is repentance.
Repentance (Four Aspects):
Intellectual Change
Emotional Change
Volitional Change
Behavioral Change
Christ Over All. (Matthew 28:18-20)
