ME

1 Corinthians 15:33 “Do not be deceived: “Bad company corrupts good morals.””
The people we put into our lives play a major on the disciple we can become. It is not just the people though it is also the other stuff we put in our lives that has a great affect on our hearts and minds.
Think about this song with me…Oh be careful little eyes what you see. Oh be careful little ears. Oh be careful little feet.
How careful are we as adults? We encourage our children to be careful but we ingest filth as adults. How hypocritical is that?
TRANSITION: Paul kicks this less off with rejoice in the Lord and beware of the bad people
Imagine a flock of sheep peacefully grazing. Suddenly, a wolf enters—the shepherd's duty is to warn the sheep while they’re still safe. Paul reminds us of this necessity; it’s easy to get caught up in the joy of faith but we must remain vigilant against those who distort the Gospel. Just as the shepherd protects his flock, we must guard our hearts against those who would lead us astray, holding onto the true joy found in Christ..
Now this text is going to be so much more than just that lesson alone. There is so much more that Paul encourages and to be honest what he is trying to encourage us with as a whole is we need to be transformed. Warren Wiersbe, a famous theologians says Transformation “is where Christ is able to give us joy; and he contrasts that with Substitution is where the world tries to give us joy.
As we focus on how to develop this mind of a disciple i want us to ponder the process of transformation that we see in this text.

GOD

Philippians 3:1–3 “Finally, my brothers, rejoice in the Lord. To write the same things again is no trouble to me, and it is a safeguard for you. Beware of the dogs! Beware of the evil workers! Beware of the mutilation! For we are the circumcision, who worship in the Spirit of God and boast in Christ Jesus and put no confidence in the flesh,”
