Do you ever make promises

Do you ever make promises?  Sure you do. Everyday.  I promise I will clean my room.  I promise I will feed it and take care of it everyday.  I promise I’ll  be good.  I promise I won’t tell anyone your secret.

Even though we mean well, we don’t always keep our promises.  We don’t keep our rooms clean.  We don’t feed the dog and our parents have to do it.  Sometimes we try our best and we still don’t keep the promises that we make.

Unlike us, God always keeps his promises.  If God says it you can count on it.  He never  breaks his promises

For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16.    One of my favorite promises is:

Delight yourself in the LORD; and He will give you the desires of your heart.

Psalm 37:4

God promises that if we look to him first and delight ourselves in him he will give us the desires of our heart.

The Bible is full of promises from God and we can count on every one of them because God always keeps His promises.
