Sin and Bleach
Sin and Bleach
Isaiah 1:18 (NASB95)
18 “Come now, and let us reason together,” Says the Lord, “Though your sins are as scarlet, They will be as white as snow; Though they are red like crimson, They will be like wool.
Stephanie and I were talking about sin last night. We talked about
how Jesus wants to take our sin away, and then we talked about how he gets rid of the bad things that we do.
Stephanie said that God is like bleach. Have you ever stained your clothes and thought, “That’ll never come out.” Stephanie has a shirt that had big red stains on it from playing softball. I didn’t think they would ever come out. But Stephanie’s mom bleached the shirt and you know what? The stains are gone. You would never know they were there.
God is the same way. The bible says that even though our sins are like scarlet, red stains, he will make us white as snow.
All we have to do is ask God to bleach us and he will remove all of the stains, even the ones that we thought would never go away.
