Question...
Question...
Is making alounces for each others faults the same as making alounces for each others sins?
how do we point out others sin when there is our own sin? Matthew 7:3–5
1 “Judge not, that you be not judged. 2 For with the judgment you pronounce you will be judged, and with the measure you use it will be measured to you.
3 Why do you see the speck that is in your brother’s eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye? 4 Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when there is the log in your own eye? 5 You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother’s eye.
2 Always be humble and gentle. Be patient with each other, making allowance for each other’s faults because of your love.
3 Make every effort to keep yourselves united in the Spirit, binding yourselves together with peace.
THE MINISTRY OF RECONCILATION
THE MINISTRY OF RECONCILATION
Our reconciliation with God serves as the pattern for how we reconcile with one another.
This isn’t peripheral to faith—Jesus commands believers to interrupt worship itself to resolve conflicts with others, signaling that unresolved human conflict actually hinders our relationship with God.
23 So if you are offering your gift at the altar and there remember that your brother has something against you, 24 leave your gift there before the altar and go. First be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift.
Christ’s crucifixion was God’s ultimate act of reconciliation, enabling sinful people to be forgiven and restored to a holy God.
10 For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, now that we are reconciled, shall we be saved by his life. 11 More than that, we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received reconciliation.
19 For in him all the fullness of God was pleased to dwell, 20 and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether on earth or in heaven, making peace by the blood of his cross.
HE GAVE US THE MINISTRY OF RECONCILIATION
HE GAVE US THE MINISTRY OF RECONCILIATION
17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come. 18 All this is from God, who through Christ reconciled us to himself and gave us the ministry of reconciliation; 19 that is, in Christ God was reconciling the world to himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and entrusting to us the message of reconciliation. 20 Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, God making his appeal through us. We implore you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God. 21 For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.
FORGIVE AND YOU SHALL BE FORGIVEN
When we postpone resolving conflicts with others, we undermine our own spiritual development and that of those around us.1 #Refusing to address conflict with another believer amounts to a rejection of the gospel itself.1#
