Imago Dei

is a Latin term translating to "image of God," referring to the theological concept that humans are created in God’s own image and likeness.

It signifies that all humans possess intrinsic, sacred value, dignity, and purpose, reflecting God’s character through their rational, moral, and relational nature.

Intrinsic Value: Every human, regardless of status, possesses dignity because they represent God on earth.

Moral & Intellectual Nature: It suggests humans reflect God's intelligence, creativity, and morality.

Impact of Sin/Redemption: While sin is thought to have "marred" this image, Christian theology teaches it is restored through Jesus Christ.

A. We have to be Greedy to protect the Image

2 Corinthians 3:18

B. We Can't Allow Anything or Anyone to Devalue Who we are in God

C. This is why Racism is so DUMB. You cannot reflect God  while feeling superior to people made in His image.

1 John 4:20

Confession

Father God, in this season, don't let us get complacent about You. Instead, let us Greedily pursue You, until we are overflowing. In Jesus' name Amen.
