Oh Man our sweet Grandma Helen what a blessing it has been for 31 years of my Life to know my Grandma
As a kid growing up in a Home that was split. I remember like it was yesterday being woken up by my mom at the crack of dawn in our apartment in La Habra to be dressed and dragged to the car with my brother Larry
Every morning My mom would put us in our car seats and she would drive us to Grandmas house before work, within a few minutes we would both be asleep and I remember the drive felt like an eternity
By the time we woke up though we were at Grandmas house , and every morning she would greet us at the door of the house or come grab us out of our car seats
She would take us into the house let us sleep a little longer but then she would always feed us and take care of us
She always had breakfast for us and she was always sitting in Her spot at the table drinking a litpon tea while eating a hostess Pastry
By the time the sleepiness wore off we were back in a car again but this time with Grandma and thats where the real fun would begin
She always, always, knew how to make our time with her fun. 99% of the time we would end up at the Mall in Cerritos, Joans , Mervyn’s or even the Brea Mall
