Introduction

I. Matter of Fact

A. Fact Of Birth.
i. John 1:12–13 “But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.”
B. Fact Of Identity.
i. Identified with His crucifixion
a. Galatians 2:20 “I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.”
ii. Identified with His burial.
a.Romans 6:3 “Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?”
iii. Identified with His ressurection.
a. Romans 6:4 “Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.”
iv. Identified with His glorification.
a. Colossians 3:4 “When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.”
C. Fact Of Authority.
i.Matthew 28:18 “And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.”

II. Matter of Faith

A. Word of God.
B. Obedience.
C. Love

III. Matter of Fellowship

A. As He Is.
i. 1 John 4:17 “Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world.”
ii. 1 John 1:7 “But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.”
iii. 1 John 2:6 “He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.”
iv. Ephesians 2:6 “And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:”
There was a veteran of the civil war who had been wounded during the war, this man wandered from place to place begging for food or money talking always about his friend Mr. Lincoln for whose cause he was wounded and could not work. A man asked him one day if he really knew his friend Mr. Lincoln, and could he prove it? The veteran replied to him of course I can prove that I Know the president he pulled out a worn piece of paper from his pocket the veteran said as he showed the paper the president presented me with this and signed it himself. The man said to the veteran do you know what this paper is the veteran explained I cannot read the man exclaimed this is a federal pension authorized by Lincoln himself you don’t have to live like a beggar the president has made you rich.

If you have been born of God are you living Victoriously or are you living defeated?
