In Trials, that are used by God to bring about steadfastness, complete and perfect faith. Lacking in nothing.
God instructs (commands) us to ask Him for wisdom if we are lacking (Matt 7:7)
Divine discernment, divine wisdom not just knowledge. Is given by God. ()
(A divine vision or perspective is needed in the present to aid the believer in the journey and to fortify the self against temptation. The believer is enjoined to turn to God for the internal and practical means to endure the diverse trials of faith)
We will lack in wisdom
A divine vision or perspective is needed in the present to aid the believer in the journey and to fortify the self against temptation. The believer is enjoined to turn to God for the internal and practical means to endure the diverse trials of faith
c. God give wisdom to (ALL)His people generously out of His Kindness and gentleness. He does without reproach (blame, fault, mock. Wisdom is God’s gift to His own (Luke 21:15)
God will give generously, and does not give with reproach (Blame, fault, mock)
BUT when we ask, or pray there is criteria
a. We must ask in faith () () The promise of wisdom in trails is only granted to those who have faith
b. We must not doubt
To understand you lack wisdom is to be wise. There is a close connection between faith, prayer and wisdom. To pray for wisdom requires faith, to understand what to pray requires wisdom. To receive wisdom and grow faith requires Grace.
Prayer is both accepting and asking. Prayer accepts the gift of faith. Prayer likewise asks for the means to work out that faith through the gift of wisdom. (com)
c. To pray and ask for God for faith and wisdom while doubting is completely irrational. This doubting is not the existence of God but the kind of God the believer serves (Faith is always a matter of personal trust in God. To doubt Him Christian is to bring His character into question
Always looking back Israel and egypt, Lots wife and looking back Keeping faith with God is the issue, Doubt then is an act of distrust when action is called in serving the God who Loves
D. Double minded (double souled) , Two loyalties, leaves the believer extremely vulnerable, two masters
persistent doubt destroys faith, in the dark alone
