The Worst Kept Secret

Jesus knew he was the Messiah

Whether he knew the future and knew how they would answer, or had set it up ahead of time, Jesus was fully aware of what was going on.

His Disciples may not have known fully how much truth they were declaring but they were right

The profound nature of their plea - Jesus is the King, He comes in God’s name - meaning he was sent and anointed by God, He causes peace and deserves the highest glory (same statement that the angels made when declaring his birth)

We should not strive to be beaten out by stones

It is a sad thing to not know who Christ is

Do we weep for the lost? Do we realize the danger they are in from not knowing Jesus as their savior?
