Cleanse the Temple
Principle 1 - the temple
Our bodies are a temple of the Lord.
When someone else defiles our temple, we are responsible for cleansing our temple.
Principle 2 - identify sin
Sin contaminates the body and we must honestly identify the offenses.
Principle 3 - engage anger
Take the time necessary for cleansing your temple.
Write an anger letter to someone who has hurt you.
READ the letter aloud to yourself.
Hit your pillow or bed a bat to release your anger (p.112).
If there are multiple people and offenses, start with the least hurtful and move from least to greatest.
Principle 4 - restore temple to original order
Let the healing begin!
Love Agreement #3 - WHEN I HAVE OFFENDED MY SPOUSE, I WILL QUICKLY ASK FOR FORGIVENESS.
AND I WILL FORGIVE MY SPOUSE’S OFFENSES IN MY HEART EVEN BEFORE BEING ASKED.
