Life - The condition that distinguishes animals and plants from inorganic matter, including the capacity for growth, reproduction, functional activity, and continual change preceding death.
The existence of an individual human being or animal.
1 Corinthians 7:23 “23 You were bought with a price; do not become bondservants of men.”
1 Peter 1:18 “18 knowing that you were ransomed from the futile ways inherited from your forefathers, not with perishable things such as silver or gold,”
1 Peter 1:19 “19 but with the precious blood of Christ, like that of a lamb without blemish or spot.”
Revelation that my life isn’t my own.

1 Corinthians 6:19 “19 Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own,”

1 Corinthians 6:20 “20 for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body.”

Why am I Here

If God put me here, what does that mean for me?

Ephesians 2:10 “10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.”

2 Timothy 1:8 “8 Therefore do not be ashamed of the testimony about our Lord, nor of me his prisoner, but share in suffering for the gospel by the power of God,”

2 Timothy 1:9 “9 who saved us and called us to a holy calling, not because of our works but because of his own purpose and grace, which he gave us in Christ Jesus before the ages began,”

Choices, Choices, Choices

Joshua 24:15 “15 And if it is evil in your eyes to serve the Lord, choose this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your fathers served in the region beyond the River, or the gods of the Amorites in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.””

Matthew 22:14 “14 For many are called, but few are chosen.””

Philippians 3:13 “13 Brothers, I do not consider that I have made it my own. But one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead,”

Philippians 3:14 “14 I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.”

If all have sinned and God still calls us, what should be my response?

Priorities

Luke 14:26 “26 “If anyone comes to me and does not hate his own father and mother and wife and children and brothers and sisters, yes, and even his own life, he cannot be my disciple.”

Luke 14:27 “27 Whoever does not bear his own cross and come after me cannot be my disciple.”

Luke 14:28 “28 For which of you, desiring to build a tower, does not first sit down and count the cost, whether he has enough to complete it?”

Luke 14:29 “29 Otherwise, when he has laid a foundation and is not able to finish, all who see it begin to mock him,”

Luke 14:30 “30 saying, ‘This man began to build and was not able to finish.’”

Luke 14:31 “31 Or what king, going out to encounter another king in war, will not sit down first and deliberate whether he is able with ten thousand to meet him who comes against him with twenty thousand?”

Luke 14:32 “32 And if not, while the other is yet a great way off, he sends a delegation and asks for terms of peace.”

Luke 14:33 “33 So therefore, any one of you who does not renounce all that he has cannot be my disciple.”

Matthew 10:37 “37 Whoever loves father or mother more than me is not worthy of me, and whoever loves son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.”

If Christ loved me more than His own life, what should my love for Him look like?
Matthew 16:26 “26 For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and forfeits his soul? Or what shall a man give in return for his soul?”
