Well over three hundred verses are concerned with the subject of Jesus' resurrection in the New Testament.
We are told that this event is a sign for unbelievers (); cf. ) as well as the answer for the believer's doubt ().
It serves as the guarantee that Jesus' teachings are true (; Corrinthians 15:12-20) and is the center of the gospel itself (, ; Corrinthians 15:1-4).
Further, the resurrection is the impetus for evangelism (; ), the key indication of the believer's daily power to live the Christian life (, ; ) and the reason for the total commitment of our lives (; ).
The resurrection even addresses the fear of death (; ; cf. ) and is related to the second coming of Jesus (; ).
Lastly, this event is a model of the Christian's resurrection from the dead (; ; ) and provides a foretaste of heaven for the believer (; ).

Introduction
The resurrection of our Savior is without question the most significant event in human history.
Either He rose from the dead and therefore he is God as he claimed to be, or he did not and Christ is an imposter and the Christian faith is but a great hoax.
Paul said it this way in
1 Co 15
If No Resurrection:
Our Preaching is vain - What do we have to preach but the resurrection!

Our Faith is vain- What do we have to believe but the resurrection!
We are in our sins - “ye are yet in your sins”
Those that have died believing in Christ are perished (no hope) - “they also which are fallen asleep in Christ are perished”
We are miserable living our present lives for a purpose that has no founding!

The world's oldest person and the last known to have been born in the 1800s died Saturday.
Emma Morano, 117, of Italy died Saturday afternoon, AFP and the Associated Press reported.

Carlo Bava told the AP that she died while sitting in a rocking chair in her home, located in the Northern Italy town of Verbania.
She ate a raw egg every day and credited her longevity to her diet, she told Italian newspaper La Stampa.
"For breakfast I eat biscuits with milk or water," she said.
"Then during the day I eat two eggs — one raw and one cooked — just like the doctor recommended when I was 20 years old.
For lunch I'll eat pasta and minced meat then for dinner, I'll have just a glass of milk."
Sleep also was important.
She went to bed before 7 p.m. and arose before 6 a.m.
B. The remedy of Christ

There is no other way to be made alive, but in Christ!

Why did fear grip Jesus’ followers?
Was it because it seemed like hope was lost? - things are not always as they seem!
Fear is the opposite of belief -

How many times as Christians do we find ourselves fearful and unbelieving.
The resurrection reminds us of God’s power over death and the grave and it reminds us of his desire to comfort us in our hour of need.
