PALM SUNDAY 2026

Mark 11:7 And they brought the colt to Jesus, and cast their garments on him; and he sat upon him. 8 And many spread their garments in the way: and others cut down branches off the trees, and strawed them in the way. 9 And they that went before, and they that followed, cried, saying, Hosanna; Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord: 10 Blessed be the kingdom of our father David, that cometh in the name of the Lord: Hosanna in the highest.

What its like when I don’t want to preach to your no good ass no mo?

To begin with Brothers and Sisters, Christian Friends, Well Wishers and Saints of God Jesus is presented as The King, The Judge, and The Prophet And with Jerusalem being the central place for Jewish worship at a heighten time of resistance and revolution, Jesus became a prominent focal figure.

Listen 3x Jerusalem during the Passover season was the delight of the Jews. Ah Jews from all over the diaspora were coming from near and far. But to the Romans who dominated the world at that time it was a period of despair.

Imagine thousands of devout Jews from all over the world arriving in the Holy City. In 2026 the airports would be filled with anxious passengers whose been waiting for hours but their hearts were filled with excitement and nationalistic fervor.

I ancient times the population of Jerusalem more than tripled during the feast, it’s got so many people. it’s like Mardi Gras in New Orleans with over a million migrants and immigrants all over the city. This logistic nightmare made it necessary for the Roman Military Units to be on special alert. In 2026 now we have ICE on high alert at airports because there is an eminent threat, because we’ve gone a picked a war with Iran who was no at war with us. And because we are in this season where the Jews still celebrate the Passover Something tragic can poop off at any time.

So in that moment in biblical antiquity the Romans who had conquered Israel and the world they lived with the possibility that some enthusiastic Jewish Zealot might try to kill a Roman official or incite a riot. During this time there was always the potential for disputes among the various Jewish religious groups. Looks like to me that history is repeating itself.

And so Jesus Comes to Jerusalem as The Servant King and this is very significant because Matthew 21:1–9, Mark 11:1-11, Luke 19:29-38 and John 12:12-15 all tell the story. Listen very carefully, for all 4 Gospels to tell the same story is very rare. ATCSA

I’ve got a book that shows the parallels of the Gospels across scriptures and very rarely does the book of John teach the same stuff as does Matthew Mark and Luke.

And quickly let me say that the Book of Mark was the first New Testament Gospel ever written. Mark was written to address the Roman and Gentile Christians in Preparation for the adaptation of Jewish readers. The book of Mark had foreigners in mind because the story had to be told about Jesus Christ as the Servant. And we know that in Matthew Jesus is the King in Mark Jesus is the Servant in Luke Jesus is the Son of Man, and in John Jesus is the Son of God.. Teach me pastor Allen.

I can’t get too deep but “John Mark as he is called is the writer of this Gospel mentions Jesus in Mark 11 as

#1. The Servant King, in Mark 11:1-11

#2. Jesus as The Servant Judge, in Mark 11:12-16

#3. Jesus as The Servant Prophet, in Mark 11:27 and so forth. This is one of the last great stories before our Lord and savior Jesus Christ is crucified on the cross at calvary. This picturesque depicts a wonderful narrative that will be told for thousand of years to come and it all started in

Mark 11:1 the bible says “ And when they came nigh to Jerusalem, unto Bethphage and Bethany, at the mount of Olives, he sendeth forth two of his disciples, 2 And saith unto them, Go your way into the village over against you: and as soon as ye be entered into it, ye shall find a colt tied, whereon never man sat; loose him, and bring him. 3 And if any man say unto you, Why do ye this? say ye that the Lord hath need of him; and straightway he will send him hither.

Let’s unpack this text Jesus took a particular road wherein, a traveler would arrive first at Bethany and then come to Bethphage. This location is about two miles from Jerusalem. And from this elevated location there were breathtaking views of the Holy City of Jerusalem. Now a days they have cameras and drones to capture the picturesque view.

And our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ knew all of that and He was about to do something He had never done before, Somebody ask me what He was going to do Rev? he was going to toot his own horn… And believe it or not but Sometimes you’ve got to tote your own horn.

Because in the past Jesus had repeatedly made it His business to caution others not to make a big fuss over Him and not to give Him Recognition, I mean miracle after miracle Jesus would say don’t tell nobody. ATCSA But in this great celebration Jesus was going to permit His followers to give a public demonstration in His honor.

This is one of the fewest times that Jesus allowed Himself to be seen and recognized as the True King and as the Messiah.

Listen brothers and sisters We already know that Jesus is the Messiah the Savior of Mankind, so let’s tell the world about it. “We already know that Jesus is our Elder Brother. You can call on Him when you can’t call on nobody else. So let’s tell the world about it. “We already know that Jesus is our Propitiation. He’s the Only One that could be the substituting sacrifice for the atonement of man kind’s sins. so let’s tell the world about it. And “We already know that Jesus is our personal Mediator because there is One Mediator that STANDS on the Right Hand of The Father and being our Intercessor up in heaven. So let’s tell the world about it.

The text says that Jesus sent two of His disciples to Bethphage to get the colt that He needed for the event. And I never saw where the disciples didn’t want to do the job and say we ain’t doing that.. They were good servants of the Lord Jesus Christ. They were probably Peter and John And Peter and John were obedient. Listen to me Obedient people have favor with God because of their obedience. Obedient people have flaws, faults, fissures, and failures just like everybody else but the difference is that God won’t let them fizzle before the finish. God will grant them with a faithful fabulous flourishing future. ATCSA.

Then let’s talk about the donkey. Why use a donkey ? Well for one thing, scripture already prohesied that Jesus would come this way. I Kings 1:33 and then second the most famous OLD TESTAMENT scripture Zechariah 9:9 Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion; shout, O daughter of Jerusalem: behold, thy King cometh unto thee: he is just, and having salvation; lowly, and riding upon an donkey ass, and upon a colt the foal of an donkey ass. That’s scripture 2x and most people today think of a donkey as nothing but a humble beast of burden, but in that day, it was looked on as an animal fit for a king to use. And Jesus is the King of Kings. brothers and sisters Our Lord needed this beast so that He would fulfill the messianic prophecy. Everything was done for a purpose. Verses 2&3 says that Jesus said “Go your way into the village over against you: and as soon as ye be entered into it, ye shall find a colt tied, whereon never man sat; loose him, and bring him. 3 And if any man say unto you, Why do ye this? say ye that the Lord hath need of him; and straightway he will send him hither.

When you have the power behind the throne on your side you can move with positive authority. And people will listen. The good disciples didn’t go on their own authority they went on the authority of Jesus and when the owner of the donkey asked them why they were taking his donkey, and the bible says in Matthew 21:3 they simply said that the Master had need of them.

And so the bible says that they got the donkeys and they brought the donkeys to Jesus. The mother donkey and the baby colt donkey came together. And the little colt donkey had never been written on before. The bible says in Matthew 21:7 They brought the donkey and the colt to Jesus and laid their coats on them, and Jesus sat on them. Yes sir.

Oh it’s Palm Sunday everybody and Palm Sunday is symbolic because

#1. It represent Jesus as the Messiah that had been prophesied in eternity past before the world ever began because the bible say the book of Revelation that as a Lamb that had been slain before the foundations of the world. JESUS

#2. It represented the symbolic meaning of Jesus the Messiah in the eternal now. Not later on but the eternal Now. And that speaks to the eternal isness of God. Tell your neighbor He just is. Jesus is the same yesterday today and forevermore. ATCSA.

and then #3.It represented Jesus the Messiah of the future, and One day Jesus is coming back Yes sir! for His church a church without a spot or wrinkle..

Well I must close the bible says in Matthew 21: 8 Many people spread their coats on the road. Others cut branches from the trees and spread them on the road. Jesus has now positioned Himself to be on the Main Street in Jerusalem um um um. Oh Lord Yes

(FD) He wanted to Yes Lord um Show them the deity of side of Jesus Christ Oh Lord He is the Messiah Yes

(FD)He wanted to show them the Very Son of God UM Um.

And Main street Jerusalem Great God yes was just like Time Square in New York City.

Main street Jerusalem was just like Wilshire Blvd in Los Angeles California. Um Yes

Main street Jerusalem was just Like State street in Chicago, Illinois, yes

Like Peach street in Atlanta, Georgia. Like Beal street in Memphis Tennessee,

Main street Jerusalem was just Main street in Houston, Texas Just like Central Ave in Minneapolis, Minnesota Just like Washington Ave in St. Louis, Missouri, Just like Pennsylvania Ave NW in Washington D.C. Oh Lordy

Main street Jerusalem was just like Florida Blvd in Baton Rouge And Main street Jerusalem was just like the famous Canal Street in New Orleans Louisiana oh yes it was .

And Oh don’t you see Jesus Riding through the streets of Jerusalem oh Lord And don’t you hear the saints on heaven saying Ride on King Jesus Ride On. And The little donkey never made a sound never ran off the road and never acted crazy

Oh Lord .

And then The people along the parade route strew Palm in the way saying Ride On King Jesus Ride On

They laid down their cloaks, clothes, and coats Oh Lordy

Optional Main street Jerusalem in looked like the Red Carpet row that the star in Hollywood California strolled down . Ride on King Jesus Ride On.

OH don’t you hear them saying Hosanna Hosanna in the Highest Blessed is He that cometh in the Name of the Lord. In other words Lord Save us Right Now. Save us right now Oh Lord I’m so glad I’m saved Are you glad you’re saved Did He save your soul and make you whole? Did He pick you up and turn you around Put your feet on solid ground? Ain’t He alright?

Then I heard the Pharisees saying Jesus they’re trying to make you equal with God Make them Hush.. Make them Hush Make they Hush And I heard Jesus saying If these hold their peace

The Rocks! will cry out. Oh Lordy and Let me say for myself I don’t need no rock crying out for me because If I had 10,000 tongues I’d praise God with every one of them Hallelujah! Glory to God, Thank You Jesus, Bless the Lamb,,,, Hosanna Hosanna You’re Worthy to be praised

Lord! Jesus you’re worthy of all the honor all the glory and all of our praise. And I just want to say Thank You 3x Is there anybody in here that Love my Jesus.

1.Holy Monday freed the sacrificial animals and cleansed the temple.

2. Holy Tuesday Jesus taught at the temple.

3.Holy Wednesday A disciple named Judas Iscariot betrayed Jesus for 30 pieces of silver.

4. Maundy Thursday The Last Supper with the disciples Jesus washes their feet.

5. Jesus was crucified on a cross Darkness covered the whole earth.

6. Saturday Jesus rested in the tomb.

7. Resurrection Sunday Jesus is Risen! His death burial and resurrection paid for our sins and gives all who believe in Him eternal Life.
