Majestic with The Murderous Mob
Majestic with The Murderous Mob
Mark 14:43–48 “And immediately, while He was still speaking, Judas, one of the twelve, with a great multitude with swords and clubs, came from the chief priests and the scribes and the elders. Now His betrayer had given them a signal, saying, “Whomever I kiss, He is the One; seize Him and lead Him away safely.” As soon as he had come, immediately he went up to Him and said to Him, “Rabbi, Rabbi!” and kissed Him. Then they laid their hands on Him and took Him. And one of those who stood by drew his sword and struck the servant of the high priest, and cut off his ear. Then Jesus answered and said to them, “Have you come out, as against a robber, with swords and clubs to take Me?”
Understand this is nothing new this is the sequel of Isaiah 53:3

Moment of Acknowledgement v41-42
6. Moment of Ambush: Notice the area is a Garden. It takes me back to Genesis. The 1st Adam rebelled in the Garden. The 2nd Adam(Jesus) submitted in the Garden. In the 1st Garden It was “my will be done.” In this Garden it was not my will “but thine will be done.” In the 1st Garden sin brought corruption. In the 2nd Garden sin was conquered. In the 1st Garden Adam hid from God. In the 2nd Garden this Adam (Jesus) earnestly sought for God.
7. Method of Betrayal v44
8. Misaligned Attack v47 look at companion scripture John 18:4–5 “Jesus therefore, knowing all things that would come upon Him, went forward and said to them, “Whom are you seeking?” They answered Him, “Jesus of Nazareth.” Jesus said to them, “I am He.” And Judas, who betrayed Him, also stood with them.” John 18:10 “Then Simon Peter, having a sword, drew it and struck the high priest’s servant, and cut off his right ear. The servant’s name was Malchus.”
9. Mockery of the Mob v48 Jesus points out the (number) obvious use of force for one person they must have expected an insurrection. They have clubs and staves. Mention (Barabbas)
10. Malicious Intent v49 look at companion scripture Zechariah 13:7 ““Awake, O sword, against My Shepherd, Against the Man who is My Companion,” Says the Lord of hosts. “Strike the Shepherd, And the sheep will be scattered; Then I will turn My hand against the little ones.”
Luke 22:53 “When I was with you daily in the temple, you did not try to seize Me. But this is your hour, and the power of darkness.””
Although the Romans were arresting Him He exposed the Jews for being behind the plot. With I was with you Daily.
He only reminded them of God’s plan to bring Him to His majestic claim but He had to suffer and Die. In order to Reign
