1 Peter 2:9 KJV
But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:
This verse connects to the Kingdom of God through the identity & calling of God’s people.
Believers have been “translated into the kingdom of his dear Son,” (Col 1:13establishing them as citizens of Christ’s kingdom
(Col 1:13 He has rescued us completely from the tyrannical rule of darkness and has translated us into the kingdom realm of his beloved Son. 14 For in the Son all our sins are canceled and we have the release of redemption through his very blood.)
The titles in 1 Peter 2:9chosen generationroyal priesthoodholy nation—echo language originally applied to Israel: “a kingdom of priests, and an holy nation.”
Exodus 19:5–6 KJV
Now therefore, if ye will obey my voice indeed, and keep my covenant, then ye shall be a peculiar treasure unto me above all people: for all the earth is mine: And ye shall be unto me a kingdom of priests, and an holy nation. These are the words which thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel.
The kingdom connection operates on multiple levels. First, born-again believers share an inheritance in Christ’s priesthood, as Jesus passed this inheritance to His church.
[1] This priestly identity reflects kingdom authority and responsibility.
Christ “hath made us kings and priests unto God,” (Rev 1:6) and believers “shall reign on the earth,” (6 and to the one who has made us to rule as a kingly priesthood to serve his God and Father—to him be glory and dominion throughout the eternity of eternities! Amen!
“a kingdom of priests” or “kings and priests.” We have the nature of both a king and a priest embedded within us in Christ. Christ is the one who “made us” into this holy order and union. It is already done.
(Rev 5:10indicating active participation in God’s kingdom
Revelation 5:10 KJV
And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.
Being Called Is Great Being Chosen Is Greater!
John 15:16 TPT
You didn’t choose me, but I’ve chosen and commissioned you to go into the world to bear fruit. And your fruit will last, because whatever you ask of my Father, for my sake, he will give it to you!
Matthew 20:16 TPT
Now you can understand what I meant when I said that the first will end up last and the last will end up being first. Everyone is invited, but few are the chosen.”
Second, the verse emphasizes the kingdom’s composition and scope. This royal priesthood will be made up of persons from every tribe and language and people and nation, so that One new race, One new people, and One new nation comprises all races, all peoples, and all nations.
The kingdom transcends ethnic and national boundaries, uniting diverse peoples under Christ’s reign.
Galatians 3:28–29 MSG
In Christ’s family there can be no division into Jew and non-Jew, slave and free, male and female. Among us you are all equal. That is, we are all in a common relationship with Jesus Christ. Also, since you are Christ’s family, then you are Abraham’s famous “descendant,” heirs according to the covenant promises.
Galatians 3:28–29 KJV
There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. And if ye be Christ’s, then are ye Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.
Colossians 3:11 KJV
Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: but Christ is all, and in all.
1 Corinthians 12:13 KJV
For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.
Ephesians 2:14–16 develops the theological foundation for this unity, presenting Christ as having “broken down the middle wall of partition” between Jews and Gentiles and reconciling both to God through the cross.
Ephesians 2:14–16 NLT
For Christ himself has brought peace to us. He united Jews and Gentiles into one people when, in his own body on the cross, he broke down the wall of hostility that separated us. He did this by ending the system of law with its commandments and regulations. He made peace between Jews and Gentiles by creating in himself one new people from the two groups. Together as one body, Christ reconciled both groups to God by means of his death on the cross, and our hostility toward each other was put to death.
Romans 10:12 affirms that no distinction exists between Jew and Greek before God, while Romans 2:11 establishes the principle that God shows no partiality.
Romans 10:12–13 NLT
Jew and Gentile are the same in this respect. They have the same Lord, who gives generously to all who call on him. For “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”
Romans 2:11 TPT
for God sees us all without partiality.
Romans 2:11 MSG
Being a Jew won’t give you an automatic stamp of approval. God pays no attention to what others say (or what you think) about you. He makes up his own mind.
Third, kingdom membership carries specific obligations
Believers are called “unto his kingdom and glory,” (1 Thess 2:12) and the Church has been called “to be instead His chosen people, His holy nation, His royal priesthood, His peculiar people.”
[3] This reflects a transferred callingwhat Israel was meant to embody, the Church now represents.Believers receive “a kingdom which cannot be moved,”
Hebrews 12:23–29 KJV
23 To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect, 24 And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh better things than that of Abel. 25 See that ye refuse not him that speaketh. For if they escaped not who refused him that spake on earth, much more shall not we escape, if we turn away from him that speaketh from heaven: 26 Whose voice then shook the earth: but now he hath promised, saying, Yet once more I shake not the earth only, but also heaven. 27 And this word, Yet once more, signifieth the removing of those things that are shaken, as of things that are made, that those things which cannot be shaken may remain. 28 Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear: 29 For our God is a consuming fire.
Imagine you’ve been picked for an elite, all-star team. It’s exciting, but it also means you’ve got to level up how you play.

Hebrews 12:24-29 is basically the "locker room speech" for believers who have been chosen by God. It’s telling you that being chosen isn’t just a "cool badge"—it’s a massive deal that changes everything.
Here is a few Points Concerning this Text:

1. You’ve Got a Better Connection (v. 24)

The text mentions Jesus and his "sprinkled blood." In the old days (think Old Testament), people were terrified to approach God because they felt they weren't good enough. But because you are chosen and follow Jesus, you have a direct line to God.

It says Jesus' blood "speaks a better word than the blood of Abel." While Abel’s story was about revenge and "life for a life," Jesus’ story is about grace and second chances.
Being chosen means you’re starting from a place of being loved, not a place of being judged.

2. Don't Press "Mute" on God (v. 25-27)

This part is a bit of a reality check. It says, "See that you do not refuse Him who speaks."
Think of it like this: If the Creator of the Universe chooses you and starts giving you advice on how to live your best life, you don't want to leave Him on "read." 📱💬
The passage warns that God is going to "shake" the world.
Everything that is fake or temporary is going to fall away, and only the things that actually matter (like your relationship with Him) will stay standing.

The Lesson: Being chosen means you have to listen👂🎧. You can't just ignore the Coach when He’s trying to help you win. 🏅

3. You’re Part of an "Unshakeable" Kingdom (v. 28-29)

This is the "hype" part of the speech. Because you are chosen, you aren't just part of a temporary club; you are receiving a Kingdom that cannot be shaken.
When things in life get crazy—drama at school, world problems, or just feeling stressed—this passage reminds you that your spot in God’s Kingdom is solid. It’s a "forever" deal.
24 “Everyone who hears my teaching and applies it to his life can be compared to a wise man who built his house on an unshakable foundation. 25 When the rains fell and the flood came, with fierce winds beating upon his house, it stood firm because of its strong foundation.
 The Passion Mt 7:24–25
Because of that, the text says we should:
Be Thankful: Don't take being chosen for granted.
Be Respectful: It says God is a "consuming fire." That sounds intense, but it just means He is powerful and holy. You should treat your relationship with Him with a lot of respect (what the Bible calls "godly fear").
Tell Your better Looking neighbor!
(Put Some Respect on the Lord's name_ )

The "TL;DR" for a Believer:
Being chosen means you have a VIP pass to talk to God through Jesus, but it also means you have a responsibility to live a life that actually matters. Since you're on the winning team of a Kingdom that can’t be destroyed, live with confidence and give God the respect He deserves!

 I. You were Picked First (Ephesians 1:4) "For he chose us in him before the creation of the world..."

II. You’re Part of a "Royal Family" (1 Peter 2:9) "But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession..."

III. You have a Specific Mission (John 15:16

"You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit..."

VI. You’re a "Custom Build" (Jeremiah 1:5

"Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart..."

  Group Therapy Discussion Guide:

    "The Royal Identity"

Phase 1: The "Why" of the Wander (Straying from the Call)

Focus: Understanding why we leave the light for the darkness.
first question:
The "Notification" Problem: In a world that is constantly "pinging" us with new trends and lifestyles, why is it so easy to put God’s call on "Do Not Disturb"?
  2nd Question
Fear of the Crown: Does the idea of being a "Royal Priesthood" feel more like a heavy burden or a high honor?
Do we stray because we’re afraid, we can't live up to the "Royal" title?

The Darkness Comfort Zone: Sometimes the "darkness" feels familiar and safe.
3rd Question:
For parents: Is it harder to stay in the light when you’re stressed?
For the youth: Is the darkness more "fun" because your friends are there?

Phase 2: The "Fence" and the Fake Attraction

Focus: Why we are drawn to things that are off-limits.

The "Grass is Greener" Illusion: Why do we often think the things God told us to avoid are the very things that will make us happy? What are we actually looking for when we jump the fence?

The Easter Rescue: Easter is about Jesus coming "over the fence" to get us.
If you’ve been running, what is the one thing you’re afraid to leave behind in order to come back home?
The Cost of "Testing the Waters": We often think we can just "visit" the things beyond the fence.
question:
How has "visiting" the darkness changed the way you see yourself?

Phase 3: The "Peculiar" Problem (Not Fitting In)

Focus: Dealing with the social cost of being "Chosen."
The "Main Character" Energy:
In 1 Peter 2:9, "peculiar" means you are God’s special possession. Why do we try so hard to be "Common" or "Standard" when God called us to be “Limited Edition"?
Propeshy to 3 young people concerning being a limited edition.

Circle Check: Have you ever "dimmed your light" just to fit into a certain social circle?
How did it feel to belong to the group but feel disconnected from your purpose?

The Royal Table: For the young adults: How do you handle the "awkwardness" of being different in your workplace or school? Does being "Chosen" feel like a lonely island or an elite club?
There is a Song thats on my hart to solidfy this session. Because im not a singer, the Music Department is going to minister to us. I need you to put all your attenion on the words.. )
