First, I just want to point out how cool it is that we have accidentally ended up in this chapter leading up to Easter…
Paul is concluding his discussion on the resurrection of Jesus and of his followers when he returns.
Paul seems to be doing here what he does in a lot of his letters and answers what he believes will be an argument against his point…
Understanding that there is a resurrection to eternal life with eternal rewards should motivate us to live for God every day.

Glorified Bodies
Glorified Bodies
Our bodies will be transformed at the resurrection of believers.

We are born with a body like Adam’s, but we will be raised with a body like Jesus’.
We are born with a body like Adam’s, but we will be raised with a body like Jesus’.
But our citizenship is in heaven, and from it we await a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, who will transform our lowly body to be like his glorious body, by the power that enables him even to subject all things to himself.
Victory!!
Victory!!
When the resurrection comes, so does our eternal victory in Christ.
Has anyone ever won a championship?…
Think about that celebration, that moment of elation. Now imagine that feeling forever. Never ending.
50-52
When will it happen?!
“But concerning that day or that hour, no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.
What will it be like?
For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a cry of command, with the voice of an archangel, and with the sound of the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord. Therefore encourage one another with these words.
52-57
Jesus has won an everlasting victory, and He will celebrate it with all his brothers and sisters and the Holy Spirit before the Father on the new Earth for eternity! In our resurrected… glorified bodies!
In the difficulty of this life, remember that this is not all there is! Y’all are young and you’ve got a lot of life left, Lord willing. I hate to tell you, but in all likelihood you’re going to find out that the troubles ahead of you are much greater than the ones behind you. But as you walk through those troubles, remember that they aren’t worth comparing to the glory that awaits those who live through and for Jesus! That’s what gets you through from this day until your last in this body!
So what now?
