The resurrection of Jesus was not an afterthought and certainly not a legend added years after His death. The prophecies of the Old Testament blend with His own prophecies to make it clear that He, the Messiah, would be killed but rise again. Jesus' resurrection is the vital and central event of our faith. We rejoice in His promises of eternal life and of our own resurrection.
