Powerful and Personal!
Begin by reading from The Four In One Gospel of Jesus. Pages 281-284. Pray.
Father we thank You for the Incarnation when the Word, Jesus Christ, became (in the likeness of sinful) flesh, born of a virgin, and dwelt among us. We thank You for the life of Perfection that He lived, though tempted in all things just as we are. I thank you Lord for the Crucifixion where Christ offered Himself as the final, spotless, Sacrificial Lamb, dying on that cross for my sins, paying my debt, which was death. And I thank you Lord for the Resurrection that brought defeat to Satan, sin, death and the grave, announcing for all to see and hear, that the Father was pleased, the Lamb was indeed Worthy and we, as your sons and daughters are more than conquerors walking in the victory of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
The Resurrection changes everything about us as believers:
4 But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, 5 even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), 6 and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, 7 that in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.
So what did the Resurrection change for you and I?
You belong to God: John 17:9 “I pray for them. I do not pray for the world but for those whom You have given Me, for they are Yours.
You are delighted in: Isaiah 42:1 “Behold! My Servant whom I uphold, My Elect One in whom My soul delights!... (we are in Christ)!
You are equipped: 2 Timothy 3:16 All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, 17 that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.
You are accepted: Romans 15:7 Therefore receive one another, just as Christ also received us (you), to the glory of God.
You are free: Romans 8:2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death.
You are clothed in beauty: Isaiah 61:10 I will greatly rejoice in the LORD, My soul shall be joyful in my God; For He has clothed me with the garments of salvation, He has covered me with the robe of righteousness, As a bridegroom decks himself with ornaments, And as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.
You are treasured: Psalm 83:3 They have taken crafty counsel against Your people, And consulted together against Your sheltered (cherished, treasured) ones.
You are victorious: 1 Cor 15:57 But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
You are forgiven: 1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
You are an overcomer: 1 John 5:4 For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith. 5 Who is he who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?
You are delivered: 2 Tim 4:18 And the Lord will deliver me from every evil work (no weapon formed against you) and preserve me for His heavenly kingdom. To Him be glory forever and ever. Amen!
You are redeemed: Gal 3:13 Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree”), 14 that the blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.
You are known: 2 Tim 2:19 Nevertheless the solid foundation of God stands, having this seal: “The Lord knows those who are His,”...
Your are born of an indestructible life: 1 Peter 1:23 having been born again, not of corruptible seed but incorruptible, through the word of God which lives and abides forever, 24 because
“All flesh is as grass,
And all the glory of man as the flower of the grass.
The grass withers,
And its flower falls away,
25 But the word of the LORD endures forever.”
