Freedom in Christ ROMANS 6:1-11 ROMANS 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek. ROMANS 3:23 For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God ROMANS 1:32 Who, knowing the righteous judgment of God, that those who practice such things are deserving of death, ROMANS 3:24-25 Being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, 25 whom God set forth as a propitiation by His blood, through faith ROMANS 4:1-3 What then shall we say that Abraham our father has found according to the flesh? 2 For if Abraham was justified by works, he has something to boast about, but not before God. 3 For what does the Scripture say? “Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.” ROMANS 4:23-25 Now it was not written for his sake alone that it was imputed to him, 24 but also for us. It shall be imputed to us who believe in Him who raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead, 25 who was delivered up because of our offenses, and was raised because of our justification. ROMANS 5:8-10 But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. 9 Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him. 10 For if when we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life. The resurrection and being free from sin gives us the confidence of eternal life! APPLICATION 3. One of the great benefits of salvation is that we are no longer under the power of sin, and God enables us through the Holy Spirit to live holy today. 4. Never believe that you cannot have victory over a sin that you struggle with—you are no longer under bondage—there is hope. APPLICATION 5. Yes, this is true for you who believe in Christ. Don’t doubt it! Now live like it is true for you! Live like you believe the resurrection of Jesus Christ! TODAY, WE CELEBRATE THE DEATH AND RESURRECTION OF JESUS CHRIST BECAUSE HE GIVES US FREEDOM FROM SIN!
