Opening Transition (after preservice / before Welcome Scripture)

“As the first light begins to break across the sky, we gather to remember a morning unlike any other. A morning when darkness gave way to light… when sorrow gave way to hope… when death itself was overcome.
Before there was an empty tomb, there was a long night. But thank God—morning was coming.”

Transition into “Christ the Light” Scriptures

“From the very beginning, Scripture declares that Jesus Christ is the Light.
Not a light… but the Light. The light that shines into the deepest darkness of this world—and into the darkest places of the human heart.
As these verses are read, consider this truth: no darkness has ever overcome His light.”

Transition into Special – “10,000 Angels”

“He who is the Light of the world stepped down into darkness.
He came not to be served—but to serve… and to give His life a ransom for many.
At any moment, He could have called ten thousand angels. But He stayed… for you… and for me.”

0:05 – 0:12 | The Darkness of Man

“Before we can fully rejoice in the resurrection, we must understand why it was necessary.
The story of Easter begins, not at the empty tomb—but in a garden… where sin entered the world, and with it came darkness, separation, and death.
That same darkness has touched every one of us. Scripture reminds us that all have sinned… and all stand in need of grace.
As we sing, let this be a moment of honest reflection before God.”

0:12 – 0:18 | Why Jesus Came

“Into that darkness… God sent His Son.
Jesus said He came ‘to seek and to save that which was lost.’ He came not for the righteous—but to call sinners to repentance.
This is the heart of the Gospel: that God, in His love, pursued us when we could not reach Him.
Listen carefully—this is why He came.”

Transition into “Come, Jesus, Come” (Solo)

“And still today, His call goes out.
To the weary… to the broken… to those who feel far from God—He invites you to come.
Come just as you are.”

0:18 – 0:28 | The Cross and His Sufferings

“The path from the manger led to the cross.
There, the Light of the world was rejected… beaten… and crucified.
He bore our sins in His own body. The innocent for the guilty. The holy for the unholy.
This was not a tragedy—it was a sacrifice. A willing offering of love.
As these Scriptures are read, remember: every drop of blood… was shed for us.”

0:28 – 0:40 | Despair of the Disciples

“When Jesus died, hope seemed lost.
The disciples—those who had walked with Him, learned from Him, and believed in Him—were scattered and broken.
In their darkest moment, they didn’t understand that Sunday was coming.
Have you ever been there? A place where God seems silent… where hope feels gone?
In those moments, we ask: Does Jesus care?”

0:40 – 0:47 | The Resurrection

“But early… on the first day of the week…
While it was yet dark…
Everything changed.
The stone was rolled away. The grave was empty. Death was defeated.
Jesus Christ rose from the dead—just as He said He would.
And because He lives… everything is different.”

0:47 – 0:52 | Because He Lives

“The resurrection is not just an event to remember—it is a truth that transforms.
Because He lives, we have hope beyond the grave. Because He lives, sin no longer has the final word. Because He lives, we can face whatever tomorrow holds.
This is our victory.”

0:52 – 1:00 | Closing Hymn – “Then Came the Morning”

“The night did not last forever.
The sorrow did not have the final say.
The grave could not hold Him.
And just as the sun now rises over us… we are reminded:
Then came the morning… and with it came life, hope, and salvation through Jesus Christ our Lord.”
