📜 PROMISES TO ABRAHAM (Patriarchal Covenant)

Primarily in Genesis 12, 13, 15, 17, 22

1. Land Promise

Given land of Canaan
Defined borders (Gen 15:18–21)
Everlasting possession (Gen 17:8)

2. Seed (Descendants) Promise

Numerous as dust and stars (Gen 13:16; 15:5)
Father of many nations (Gen 17:4–6)
Includes kings (Gen 17:6)

3. Promise of a Specific Line

Covenant through Isaac (Gen 17:19)
Not through Ishmael (though he is blessed separately)

4. National Promise

“I will make you a great nation” (Gen 12:2)
