Introduction
In Christ are we impacted with such victorious life. Christ has given to us His victorious life. The Apostle Paul starts verse 31 by saying, “What then shall we say to these things?” In other words; “what are we to conclude from all of this!” What were the things the apostle listed previously, to show this victorious life the church possess
Romans 8:1 “There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.” God has given to us through His Spirit, victory over sin and death! Victory over the law of sin and death. the very law that condemned us. The very law that positioned us in a state of decay, and not in the state of victory! The life that Christ has given unto us, positioned us to win. His victorious life position us to be triumphant over every form of bondage! Over the very thing that oppress humanity and keep one bound; the law of sin and death. Positioned to win
Romans 8:15–16 “For you did not receive the spirit of slavery to fall back into fear, but you have received the Spirit of adoption as sons, by whom we cry, “Abba! Father!” The Spirit himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God,” - The “thing” to consider is that God, through His only begotten Son, has adopted us into the family by giving us HIs precious gift. The Holy Spirit. Through this He delivered us from being slaves again to fear. Fear to the certain verdict of damnation and being separated eternally from Him, through sin. But, through the Spirit has adopted us as His children. Not only are we filled with His victorious life through the Spirit, but by the same Spirit we have been adopted as His very own. We have been made Romans 8:17 “ heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ, provided we suffer with him in order that we may also be glorified with him.” God, through His son has positioned us to win, by making us His own!
In considering “these things”, in this victorious life in Christ we have an everlasting hope. That the very troubles of this world and the sufferings the church endure in persevering; We have a steadfast hope. That Romans 8:18 “ the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed to us.”
