The Resurrection & the Life

The Cross of Jesus Christ isn’t just an event that took place in History- It the event that defines the life I now live!
Before we look to The Resurrections and the Empty Grave lets take a moment to look at the Cross
The cross is the Place were Jesus Restores the what God intended for man-
What was lost in the Garden
Jesus Redeems in the Garden when He cries out- “Not my Will but your be done”

The Message of the cross

You are not the sum of your mistakes- You are what Christ has done for you
You are not what you feel - you are the righteousness of god in Christ Jesus
You are not the sum total of your failures- You are what Christ says you are and you can do what XChrist sys you can do
You are not alone - you are adopted and your have recieve the spirit of adoption
You are not forgotten you have been remembered
There is nothing that His blood can wash away
There is nothing His Blood cannot heal
there is nothing His wounds cannot heal
in the ancient World the Cross was a symbol of torture but in the modern world it has Become a symbol of Hope
John 3:14–15 ESV
And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, so must the Son of Man be lifted up, that whoever believes in him may have eternal life.
John 19:17 NKJV
And He, bearing His cross, went out to a place called the Place of a Skull, which is called in Hebrew, Golgotha,
Hear the Cross make the most gruesome spot of Death- the Place call Skull- and turns it into a lie giving fountain
there is no dead Place that Jesus cannot bring life to
John 3:16 NKJV
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
Even Jesus’ trial and affliction that leads up ot the Cross is pointing to Jesus Being the Son of God Who takes aways the sin of the World
It is to show the Price of your salvation
Isaiah 53:4–5 NKJV
Surely He has borne our griefs And carried our sorrows; Yet we esteemed Him stricken, Smitten by God, and afflicted. But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed.
And showing that not only Did Jesus died - But He died in your place as you sin
2 Corinthians 5:21 ESV
For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.

Resurrection & Life- John 11

When God Speaks a Word it Comes to Pass-
John 11:4 ESV
But when Jesus heard it he said, “This illness does not lead to death. It is for the glory of God, so that the Son of God may be glorified through it.”
John 11:23–25 NKJV
Jesus said to her, “Your brother will rise again.” Martha said to Him, “I know that he will rise again in the resurrection at the last day.” Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live.
Jesus Came to Give Life- John 10:10
John 10:10 NKJV
The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.
If a man cannot save what hope is he to others?
Jesus Makes some of the most outlandish proclamations about Himself - but those claims He backs with action
The claims Jesus makes aren’t idle words ment to fool people into false Hope, but to shows that He truly is the Son of God- with the purpose of you beleiving and in turn Receiving Eternal life

Resurrection-

To Bring to life- Change of State and a change of Being-
It is a change of condition and change of Quality
Dead things lack the quality of life-
Jesus No longer leave people in the previous state of which he Finds them
Jesus Makes the Statement, “I am the Resurrection and the Life” in moment where dead as displayed its power over man
And I am here to tell you today no matter how long you have been dead or in the grave Jesus still is the Resurrection and the Life
The Previous condition no longer has a hold on people who receive resurrection
Ephesians 2:1–4 NKJV
And you He made alive, who were dead in trespasses and sins, in which you once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience, among whom also we all once conducted ourselves in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, just as the others. But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us,
There is a change of state of being- Where you are is not where Jesus leaves you
Lazarus was in a tomb when Jesus found Him

The Mission of Christ

Luke 19:10 NKJV
for the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost.”
He Never leave you the same

“Raised with Christ”

Romans 6:4 NKJV
Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.

Walk in Newness of Life

John 11:40 NKJV
Jesus said to her, “Did I not say to you that if you would believe you would see the glory of God?”
Revolution of Jesus and the Work cause us to respond with beleef for our won lives
Jesus personally challenges Martha-”If you Believe”- Do you beleive that Jesus brings Newness of Life
He doesn’t Just manage the old broken mess
Romans 6:6–7 ESV
We know that our old self was crucified with him in order that the body of sin might be brought to nothing, so that we would no longer be enslaved to sin. For one who has died has been set free from sin.
No Longer a slave
Romans 6:11 ESV
So you also must consider yourselves dead to sin and alive to God in Christ Jesus.
I have died to sin and am alive to God
Colossians 2:12–13 NKJV
buried with Him in baptism, in which you also were raised with Him through faith in the working of God, who raised Him from the dead. And you, being dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He has made alive together with Him, having forgiven you all trespasses,
I am alive with Christ- the Life I Live, I live in Christ
Colossians 3:1–3 ESV
If then you have been raised with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth. For you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God.
My Position Change, and so did my pursuit

The Quality of the Life Jesus Gives

John 11:25 ESV
Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live,
Life-Zōé life- The God kind of Life
Absolute life
Life as God has it
The Very Life of God himself

The Life of Jesus Christ in the Believer

Galatians 2:20 ESV
I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
All things are possible to those believer
Impossible is not in the life of a believer- Because the Life we now life we live by faith in the Son of God
A Life of victory and overcoming

A life of Authority and power
Ephesians 6:10–13 ESV
Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm.
The Life of Christ in the Believer makes they no longer subjects to the devil, but has restore the authority back
The Devil doesn’t get to determine your victory or your blessing, Jesus Did on the Cross
John 10:10 ESV
The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.
you can resist and He will flee!

Jesus Is the Resurrection and

The Mission of Christ

Luke 19:10 ESV
For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.”
Jesus Came to seek so that He could save- save:
Salvation means- To be made whole

3. sozo (σώζω, 4982), “to save,” is translated by the verb “to heal”

Jesus Came to seek and Make whole the Lost-
Lost-

“to perish.” The idea is not extinction but ruin, loss, not of being, but of wellbeing.

Jesus came for those who are in ruin, loss, and without well being

The Removal of the Old makes Way for the New

2 Corinthians 5:17 ESV
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.
Christ removes the curse and it give way to life

Gdo makes a point of Changing people

For the Women with the Issues of Blood- It was a life of pain and suffering
But when Resurrection life met her affliction she was healed
For Lazarus is complete death- But when resurrectio life came He was raised
For the Valley of dry Bone is was defeat that left them dead and dried up- But when the Word was spoken they became an army
No Matter what you are going through tofday Jesus is the answer- He can Resurrect and give Zoe life

The Cross and the Resurrection show the Ultimate victory and power of Jesus

Matthew 27:42 NKJV
“He saved others; Himself He cannot save. If He is the King of Israel, let Him now come down from the cross, and we will believe Him.
This is the Mocking tone that the devil uses to get us to doubt
He can do it for others but you are different
Well Jesus Made them Eat their Words, and He has been doing it ever sinces
Every Healing
Every Salvation
Every Blessing
This is Jesus declaring I am the Resurrection and the Life
Colossians 2:13–15 ESV
And you, who were dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, God made alive together with him, having forgiven us all our trespasses, by canceling the record of debt that stood against us with its legal demands. This he set aside, nailing it to the cross. He disarmed the rulers and authorities and put them to open shame, by triumphing over them in him.

Closing

Learn the lesson of Lazarus- There is nothing that Jesus cannot give life to and life abundantly
“The Cross is not just something that happened… it is what defines the life I now live.”
And today we’ve seen it clearly:
The Cross removed the old
The Resurrection released the new
And now—you live by that life
But listen—
This is not just theology… this is covenant.
Jesus didn’t just talk about resurrection life…
He gave us something to remember it, receive it, and live in it.
📖 1 Corinthians 11:23–26 (NKJV) “The Lord Jesus on the same night in which He was betrayed took bread… and said, ‘Take, eat; this is My body which is broken for you; do this in remembrance of Me.’ …This cup is the new covenant in My blood…”

Bridge the Cross to the Table

The same body that was broken in Isaiah 53:5 “By His stripes we are healed”
is the body we receive.
The same blood that washed away sin in 2 Corinthians 5:21 “That we might become the righteousness of God in Him”
is the blood we drink.
So today—
We are not coming to a ritual…
We are coming to a reminder of reality.
You are not dead in sin → You are alive in Christ
You are not broken → You are made whole
You are not cursed → You are redeemed
You are not defeated → You are more than a conqueror
Because He is the Resurrection… and the Life.

Powerful Communion Exhortation

Before we take this—
I want you to examine one thing:
Am I living like what He died to make me?
Not in condemnation—
But in faith.
Because everything we preached today…
is already paid for already finished already available

Call to Faith

If there is anything in your life that looks like a grave—
Dead dreams
Sin patterns
Sickness in your body
Areas of defeat
Today, as you take communion—
You are not just remembering…
You are receiving resurrection life into that place

Faith Declaration

Say this:
“Because of the body of Jesus— I am healed.”
“Because of the blood of Jesus— I am forgiven and made righteous.”
“Because He rose— I live in newness of life.”
“Jesus is my Resurrection… and my Life.”

Transition to Taking Communion

Now with that understanding—
Let’s receive together:
The —broken so yours could be made whole body
The —shed so you could live in covenant victory blood
Take the bread… Take the cup…

Close

And as you receive today—
Don’t leave here remembering a cross…
Leave here living the resurrection.
Because Jesus is not just risen… He is risen in YOU.
