25 “Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing? 26 Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? 27

To whom does God give His provision? To those who trust Him and obey His instructions. When we are doing the will of God, we have the right to expect the provision of God.
Warren W. Wiersbe
Today is likely your last full day of working “on the field”. Let’s face it, you are exhausted. Its been a taxing week, physically, emotionally and spiritually. It’s been a week that stretched you to your limits and beyond. Today, what you need more than anything is for Jesus to supply you with the provisions of grace that you will need to finish the day well. When we are at our end, that is where God truly shines.
jesus tells us in Matthew 6 as he is preaching the greatest sermon ever, the Sermon on the Mount, not to be anxious that God will provide for our every need. The word anxious could be a great word to describe how you feel about the tasks ahead of you today. Today is filled with concern that could overwhelm you. The word anxious means to tear apart. You are divided, feeling like tattered rope come apart at the ends. Jesus tells us to not be anxious about our life. That is pretty encompassing. Don’t be anxious about your life?! Anything?
Nothing. Do not be anxious about anything. Paul would write in Philippians chapter 4 “do not be anxious about anything”. Why because of the promise of Jesus’ provision. He see’s the birds as they hunger and feeds them. He clothes the liillies of the field and clothes them. He meets us in our deepest need with his provision. Warren Wiersbe said, “ To whom does God give His provision? To those who trust Him and obey His instructions. When we are doing the will of God, we have the right to expect the provision of God.”
So what do you need today? Strength? Patience? Passion? Today is a great opportunity to trust Jesus with all that you need.
This trip has been a testimony of God’s provision. Perhaps you raised money to get here and God provided money through generous family, friends, and church members to get you to this point right now. God provided you with safe travel to get to your destination. God provided the right team leader and team mates to execute this trip. God has provided time and time again this week so that you would experience his goodness and grace in your life and so that goodness and grace would be extended in the lives of those you are serving. He is our provider! He sees where we are lacking and fills it in with his mercy and love. Today, give your needs and your weakness to the only one who can provide. What an opportunity to trust in His provision.
Heavenly Father, You see me. Right here and now. You met my deepest need when you sent Jesus to redeem me. Because you sent Jesus I know you will provide whatever I need to serve these people you have in front of me today. You will give me strength to serve my team. I trust you to provide for me today, In Jesus Name. Amen
