How many of you actually think/believe Jesus was a real person?

It’s ok if you dont know the answer to that question. This is why we’re are here in this class to give you a foundation of information to help shape your thoughts. At the end of the day I can’t convince you, Jacqueline cant convince you, the pastor or your parents can’t convince you on Who’s Jesus was and what he did. We can share with you the knowledge that i have. We can point you to the truth, but at the end of it ,it comes down to you. It’s your decision, your faith and your relationship with God. And at some point in your life we all have to decide for ourselves.
WHO IS JESUS TO ME/YOU?
Jesus existed
Jesus was a real person. I think many of us think of Jesus as a myth or like a legend or like some fairytale. Jesus was an actual person that lived, breathed, ate, drank, just as you and i do. He Was a carpenter he worked. He actually walked this earth 2000 years ago.
He was a Real Historical Person. Almost all Historian agree that Jesus was a real person that walked this Earth 2000 years ago.
Does anyone know what a Historian is?
A historian is someone who studies the past, experts who spends years and years studying the past. Almost every Historian or every expert that studies the past agrees that Jesus was a real person.
So if somebody in school or someone that you know try’s to tell you that Jesus wasn’t a real person. I would tell that person that they are completely wrong and they dont know what they are talking about. I dont care if its your friends, your parents, cousins, family, Teachers whatever its is. If someone is tell you Jesus wasn’t not a real person they are wrong!!!
So there’s evidence that Jesus was a real person. Do we all know what evidence is?
Information or facts that help prove or show something is true or really happened.
He was crucified
to be Crucified meant being executed/killed in one of the most painful, humiliating, and public ways used in the ancient world. (ROMANS)
They were whipped severely (you couldn’t even recognize him anymore)
They had to carry a cross (half a mile 2 laps around your school track)
Nailed to the cross
It would take days or even hours for someone to die.
this is what Jesus went through for you and myself.
So we know that Jesus was a real person. We also know that Jesus was crucified.
How do we know that Jesus was crucified?
You guys see this right here? What is this? (BIBLE)
The bible isn't just a religious's book. It’s a collections of real writings that have real places, real people and real history in it.
Places you can actually find on the map
Physical objects that match what the bible says.
People and Groups that existed in history are mentioned in the bible.
The bible is one of the most reliable ancient or old book that Historians/Experts that study the past use because it connects the real world around us

What do you already Know about the resurrection of Jesus?

The resurrection means after Jesus was crucified and buried, He came back to life three days later.
John 20:1-30
Today 2026 year ago On Sunday morning. Mary Magdalene came to the tomb and saw the big stone or the door to the tomb was no longer there. She went to call peter and the other disciples for help and when they got there they didn’t see anyone. All they saw was the cloth that they wrapped Jesus in when they buried him. Then Jesus appeared to Mary. Mary Magdalene was the first person to see Jesus after he was resurrected.
READ JOHN 20:1-30
1 Corinthians 15:3–9 “For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received: that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures, and that he appeared to Cephas, then to the twelve. Then he appeared to more than five hundred brothers at one time, most of whom are still alive, though some have fallen asleep. Then he appeared to James, then to all the apostles. Last of all, as to one untimely born, he appeared also to me. For I am the least of the apostles, unworthy to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God.”
I’m trying to show you that after Jesus resurrected he appeared to many people. So i want to ask you all.
What would you do if you lived with Jesus, saw Jesus die, Saw Jesus be buried. Went to the tomb and he was not there, but then he appeared to you?
I think i would feel confused. I just saw Jesus Die. If I didn’t see him in the tomb i would probably be shocked and maybe feel some fear. But if Jesus appeared to me i would probable feel overwhelmed and amazed. I think at that moment i would have made my decision to follow Christ as the disciples did. To do everything that Jesus told me to do, spread the Good news that he is the Savior. We can find eternal life in Him.
Here’s a question you have to ask yourselves. What would you do with that moment. That’s exactly what the disciples had to decide. The resurrection is not something just to read about or to understand, it’s something that demands a response from everyone.
IF you lived with Jesus, saw Jesus Die, buried Jesus and Jesus appeared to you. Would you allow anyone to call you a liar? Would you change what you know is true because you didn’t want to be made fun of ,or possibly Killed?
Imaging someone tell you your Dad, or your brother didn’t exist but you know he did. I would go to jail for the truth .
This is exactly what happened to the discples. They were told they were crazy, they were told they were lieing
His Followers actually believed he Rose from the Dead
after the death of Jesus, the belief that he resurrected spread immediately and rapidly throughout Jerusalem, The same exact place where he was crucified.
The creed (statement or confession) that is dated by many scholars to be documented within 3-5 years of Jesus death lists witnesses who claimed to see Jesus Risen from the dead (1 Corinthians 15:5–8 “and that he appeared to Cephas (Peter), then to the twelve. Then he appeared to more than five hundred brothers at one time, most of whom are still alive, though some have fallen asleep. Then he appeared to James, then to all the apostles. Last of all, as to one untimely born, he appeared also to me.”
Disciples were willing to die for thier belief. All the disciples were executed expect for One that was exiled for thier belief in the ressurection of Christ. It is highly unlikely someone would Die for something they knew was a lie.
Many even after the Disciples have been persecuted or even executed for there belief in Christ. The gospel doesn't revolve around us in America, today there are many (millions) of people dying everyday for this belief.
