Happy Resurrection Sunday!

👉 Jesus is alive!

If you came to here about the passion of the Christ, you’ll have to watch pastor Mell Gibson sermon on that.

But today, I don’t want to give you something complicated…

I want to give you **one verse**.

👉 Just one.

And if you understand this one verse…

👉 it can change your life forever.

📖 John 3:16

John 3:16 KJV 1900

16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

⏸️ *(pause — look up)*

👉 Everything you need to know about Jesus…

👉 is in that one verse.

🔁 TRANSITION Let’s break it down—slowly and simply.

🟡 1. “FOR GOD SO LOVED THE WORLD”

👉 It starts with **God’s love**.

📖 “For God so loved the world…”

⏸️ *(pause)*

That means:

👉 God loves **you**.

Not just good people.

Not just church people.

👉 The whole world.

🎯 **ILLUSTRATION**

I love my new baby joseph, imagine if i loved everyone like that

Think about the person you love the most… Now imagine loving **everyone** like that.

👉 That’s how God loves you.

🔁 TRANSITION But love alone is not enough… Love **does something**.

🔴 2. “THAT HE GAVE HIS ONLY BEGOTTEN SON”

📖 “…that he gave his only begotten Son…”

👉 God didn’t just say He loves you…

👉 He showed it.

He gave His Son—Jesus.

🎯 **ILLUSTRATION**

Imagine someone giving up their child…

to save someone else.

Imagine if some one came to me and said there is a man that needs a kidney and your son has the only kidney that can save his life. I wouldn’t do it. I’m not capable of loving some random person that much. But God is.

⏸️ (pause — let it feel heavy)

👉 That’s what God did.

And Jesus came willingly.

He died on the cross…

📖 Romans 5:8

“Christ died for us.”

👉 He took your place.

Now here’s where it becomes personal…

# 🟢 3. “THAT WHOSOEVER BELIEVETH IN HIM”

📖 “…that whosoever believeth in him…”

👉 That word **“whosoever”** means anyone.

👉 That includes you.

No matter your past…

No matter your mistakes…

👉 You can come to Jesus.

🎯 **ILLUSTRATION**

If I said, “Whosoever wants this gift can have it…”

That means anyone can take it.

👉 But you have to receive it.

👉 Salvation is a gift…

👉 but you must believe.

# ⚫ 4. “SHOULD NOT PERISH”

📖 “…should not perish…”

👉 The Bible is honest.

Sin has a consequence.

📖 **Romans 6:23 (KJV)**

“For the wages of sin is death…”

🎯 **ILLUSTRATION**

If you break the law, there is a penalty.

👉 Sin has a penalty too.

👉 That’s what “perish” means—separation from God.

But God doesn’t want that for you.

# ✨ 5. “BUT HAVE EVERLASTING LIFE”

📖 “…but have everlasting life.”

👉 This is the good news.

👉 God offers you **life forever**.

“I give unto them eternal life…”

👉 Not temporary.

👉 Not maybe.

👉 Forever.

🎯 **ILLUSTRATION**

Everything in life ends…

But Jesus offers something that never ends.

# 🔥 RESURRECTION CONNECTION

And how do we know this is true?

👉 Because Jesus didn’t stay dead.

📖 **1 Corinthians 15:20 (KJV)**

“But now is Christ risen from the dead…”

👉 The empty tomb proves it.

👉 We don’t serve a dead Savior…

👉 We serve a living one.

All over the country and around the world pastor are preaching about how gruesome the crucification was but today I want to focus on the free gift that’s given to us because HE LIVES HE IS RISEN we can SERVE A RISEN SAVIOR

👉 “Did Jesus die?”

Let me ask you—

👉 Are you 100% sure you would go to heaven?

Just like sitting in a garage doesn’t make you a car.

👉 You must personally believe.
