Love? Today?

Romans 5:8 “But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”

The first step was taken by Christ. His was not a response to our righteousness. It wasn’t a payment we were owed.

Quite the contrary, He paid a debt not to us but for us because we owed a debt in sin that we could not and can not pay.

1 John 4:10 “This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.”

This is where I think the song Reckless Love came from.

His absolute undying unwavering love for us sent Christ to Earth not to die for those who loved Him but to die for those who may never know Him.

What saddens my heart more than anything is knowing there are people who have gone to meet their Creator who never responded to the love He poured out to them. Yet even knowing they would never love Him, He loved them and died for them.

Story of driving and not understanding what I did wrong.....Why don’t they love me?

Still small voice in me that said you’re getting but a taste of what I feel.

John 3:16 “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”

The world.....It truly means every single person on this planet who was, is, and is to come. Every single soul on this planet was thought of and accounted for. Even those who would never accept His sacrifice.

A Day Of Thanksgiving

For those who believe this is a day to honor and give thanks to our Lord and Savior

Not feeling very thankful- Sat in my own sorrow and problems

Car 3 weeks now without one -

No end in sight

Hood latch broke

No getting our home

Started to fall into that pit of despair that is so easy to dig our way into.....

But I sat there honestly almost in tears and I had to kick myself in the butt

Sometimes it’s hard to be thankful but the enemy would love for us to forget what we have to be thankful for

And I just had to sit and repeat to myself God I may not have all I want, but I have all that I need.

Sitting in my car Literally as I typed those words a thought came into my head and I went and looked and found a fuse had been pulled out of place.

Put the fuse back in and it is running!

Today I am thankful to serve a living God

I am thankful to serve a loving God

I am thankful for the cross

I am thankful that God became flesh and allowed Himself to be

beaten, have a crown of thorns forced onto his head, be mocked, spit on, hit, kicked, and tortured.

To be nailed to a cross and hung by that cross.

To bear all of the sins of the world

To have all of the angels in Heaven standing at the edge waiting for Him to cry out

letting them come and take Him and destroy EVERYONE

And to never call them

To pay the debt in full

And to speak the words tetelestai

Nothing else owed......

It just has to be accepted.

So tonight let us all give thanks

1 Corinthians 11:23–26 “For I received from the Lord what I also passed on to you: The Lord Jesus, on the night he was betrayed, took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and said, “This is my body, which is for you; do this in remembrance of me.” In the same way, after supper he took the cup, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood; do this, whenever you drink it, in remembrance of me.” For whenever you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until he comes.”
