The good news for each of us today is you have not missed Him, you can find Jesus. He is as close as a simple prayer.
You see now that the message of the cross is so important to the story of Easter. Taking the sacrifice that Jesus made for you on the cross to heart. ( hold up punched ticket.).
For in the death of Christ on the cross, salvation was made possible to all. In the fact that the tomb is empty, we see the verification that JESUS is indeed the SON OF GOD and is alive forevermore and offers eternal life to us today.
If you feel you are not following in HIS steps as closely as you think you should, this would be a perfect time to talk to HIM.
And if you have never given your life over to Christ, there is no better time than right now, right here. Don’t miss HIM this time. The Jesus died for our sins on that cruel cross, who rose from the dead and left an empty tomb behind - offers forgiveness and eternal life to you today. This same Jesus will return in like manner for His redeemed people. Whatg is Jesus says to you today.
Revelation 3:20 “‘Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and will dine with him, and he with Me.”
Warner Sallman painted an iconic painting called Christ at Heart’s Door.
If you look closely the door has no handle on the outside. You must open your heart from the inside.
If you would like to accept His offer of blessed grace, open the door of your heart to HIM today and become EASTER people who Follow In HIS Steps!
But, you say, what does that mean. There is a is a story in the bible that illustrates what Jesus meant.

Sitting across from the offering box, he was observing how the crowd tossed money in for the collection. Many of the rich were making large contributions. One poor widow came up and put in two small coins—a measly two cents. Jesus called his disciples over and said, “The truth is that this poor widow gave more to the collection than all the others put together.

She gave her all. That is what Jesus is asking of you tonight. To give him your all.
You have been managing your life up till now, let me ask you a doctor Phill question, “How’s that working for you?”
Would you like to be under new management?
If you want to make that all-important decision to accept Jesus Christ as your Savior or even if you have questions, you are invited to stay for a few minutes and we can talk, pray, and give you some items that can be very helpful in your new life in Christ.
Those of you who wish to leave now can exit out those doors. (points to Portsmouth Street Doors). May God bless you with a most blessed and meaningful Easter. Good night.
