1 Corinthians 15:1-8, 20-26

Lord Jesus, we pray to you now rejoicing that you are our risen Savior! You died for our sins, you were buried, and then raised back to life on the third day, all in accordance with the Scriptures. Jesus we worship you alone this morning, because you are the only one, who has resurrected from the grave. You are the only one who has power over death. And you are the only one who can save. We sing and pray to you now exalting your holy name, the name of all names, the king of all kings, and the lord of all lords.
Jesus thank you for defeating our greatest enemy, death. As we look around at our broken world where death and sin seem to reign we are so thankful that for those of us who are in Christ, death will not have the final say. But as 1 Corinthians 15 says, by your resurrection power, one day we too will rise. We too will live for etenrity, not by our works or good deeds, but by your finished work on the cross and subsequent ressurrection. We thank you and praise you for this great hope we have in you! Thank you for allowing us to gather in this great hope this morning. I pray that throughout the rest of this serveice we would give you our full attention and devotion as well as give you all the glory due your name. We pray this in the name of our risen savior, Jesus, Amen.
