BUILT TOGETHER
And they devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers. And awe came upon every soul, and many wonders and signs were being done through the apostles. And all who believed were together and had all things in common. And they were selling their possessions and belongings and distributing the proceeds to all, as any had need. And day by day, attending the temple together and breaking bread in their homes, they received their food with glad and generous hearts, praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to their number day by day those who were being saved.
So then you are no longer strangers and aliens, but you are fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God, built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus himself being the cornerstone, in whom the whole structure, being joined together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord. In him you also are being built together into a dwelling place for God by the Spirit.
INTRO: FROM UNSHAKEABLE PEOPLE TO AN UNSHAKEABLE COMMUNITY
INTRO: FROM UNSHAKEABLE PEOPLE TO AN UNSHAKEABLE COMMUNITY
Last week we declared that God is building unshakeable people—rooted like palm trees, anchored in an unshakeable kingdom. But here’s the truth:
God never intended unshakeable people to stand alone.
A palm tree can survive a storm by itself, but a forest can change the climate.
A believer can endure pressure alone, but a community can transform a city.
If last week was about your roots, this week is about our structure.
If last week was about standing firm, this week is about building together.
Because God isn’t just forming strong individuals—He’s forming a spiritual house.
And the question for today is:
How do unshakeable people become an unshakeable community?
