The first and most important thing is the demystify demons.

Not everything we face is demonic or from a demon.
Thorns and thistles are the result of our fallen nature.
Our present occupation with demons is the result of poor theology.
Real deliverance from most of our issues is a matter of honestly confronting our own corruption.

The gospels present the very active role of demons.

We have decreed that most of exorcisms and healings have very scientific reasons. They are biological or emotional, or sociological in nature.
Our effort to solve biblical riddles led most of contemporary theology to dismiss miracle stories as literature.
All the gospel writers declare plainly that demons are real. They are active and present in the world.

Casting out demons authenticated the gospel message and the kingdom of God.

The gospel would have little effect without the miracles that followed.
God wants to change the condition of people in the world.

It is possible to clear an area of demonic activity- even if is for the short time.

When Jesus and his disciples healed and cast out demons in one city, they made disciples and moved on to other cities.
The Devil tempted Jesus and then left him for a season.

First the synagogues received his ministry, or not, then the villages received him.

The people within have to experience God’s grace first.
The battle field is now the believing community.
Strongholds exist in the house of God and in the Church of Jesus Christ.
What is a stronghold?
What are some of the strongholds in the body of Christ?
This is mainly due to spiritual immaturity ().

It is possible to cast out demons and bring down strongholds.

It can only be done in Christ’s authority.

Freedom and joy are the results of deliverance.
