With a pen, a paper and a phone, you have five minutes to come up with current headlines of what is taking place in world news as of today.

You must have as many headlines as you have people in your group, and each person in your group must read one headline once the time is up!

Why an Endtime Series?

So this is going to be a little different for the next few weeks. We’re going to talk about what’s going on in our world a little bit, and what is going to happen according to the Bible.

This week: Endtime One World Government

Next week: The Antichrist and the False Prophet

The last week: Jesus Returns

All of this is pretty important. I want this to be discussional. If you have a question about something and you want to know or understand better, we’ll talk about it.

Now there are two main prophecy books in the Bible in which we find out about the endtime. Anyone know what they are?

Revelation

Daniel

Daniel got a lot of visions of what would come at the end. But he didn’t understand a lot of it.

Daniel 12:8–10 NLT

8 I heard what he said, but I did not understand what he meant. So I asked, “How will all this finally end, my lord?” 9 But he said, “Go now, Daniel, for what I have said is kept secret and sealed until the time of the end. 10 Many will be purified, cleansed, and refined by these trials. But the wicked will continue in their wickedness, and none of them will understand. Only those who are wise will know what it means.

What’s important about this is that all of these symbols are going to become “unsealed” at the end. And also, people who study it and become wise in the sayings will understand!

So we can understand what’s going on. And it’s only going to come from prayer, the Bible, and watching our world.

Lesson

New World Order

You may have heard the term “New World Order” before. But what does that mean? Anyone?

It simply means world government. We have a city government. We have a state government. We have a national government. But there is a push for a WORLD government.

However… the New World Order is the government of the Antichrist. It is being formed right now and it is prophesied about in the Bible.

Call for or take out a one dollar bill.

On the back of every dollar bill, there is an inscription. It is on the ribbon below the pyramid with the all-seeing eye. It says, “Novus Ordo Seclorum.” Get ready for this:

Novus = new

Ordo = order

Seclorum = world

Why is New World Order on the back of the dollar bill? And in Latin instead of English, at that???

It was put there by President Franklin D. Roosevelt in 1935. He dreamed of building a one-world governmental system and he was the driving force behind the creation of the United Nations in 1945.

The United Nations is the closest thing to a full world government that we have today.

So, from this time forward, every time you hear the term “New World Order” you are going to know that they are referring to world government. This is told about in the Bible.

Revelation 13:1–2 NLT

18 Then the dragon took his stand on the shore beside the sea. 1 Then I saw a beast rising up out of the sea. It had seven heads and ten horns, with ten crowns on its horns. And written on each head were names that blasphemed God. 2 This beast looked like a leopard, but it had the feet of a bear and the mouth of a lion! And the dragon gave the beast his own power and throne and great authority.

Now, how does this all come about???

There Will Be a WWIII

Well, the Bible tells us that at some point, there is going to be another World War.

Revelation 9:13–15 NLT

13 Then the sixth angel blew his trumpet, and I heard a voice speaking from the four horns of the gold altar that stands in the presence of God. 14 And the voice said to the sixth angel who held the trumpet, “Release the four angels who are bound at the great Euphrates River.” 15 Then the four angels who had been prepared for this hour and day and month and year were turned loose to kill one-third of all the people on earth.

World Wars

WWI (1914-1918) - 15 million died

WWII (1939-1945) - 60 million died

WWIII - 2.5 billion

WWIII is going to originate out of the region where we are seeing conflict right this second. And it’s going to spread. In order for that many to pass away, it has to go beyond that area.

This is what is next on the prophetic timeline.

TIMELINE

The Aftermath of WWIII will Lead to One World Government

There will be an enormous outcry for peace after this war. Just imagine! Looking for someone with an answer to all of this war!

The only way that this will happen is if there is a global government that can “come down” on and “control” individual nations from engaging in war.

This government has to have a leader, right? The Antichrist.

Conclusion

How should we respond to all of this? Not with fear!
