His Death our Salvation

Power of Resurrection

The grave could not hold Jesus.
Acts 2:29–31 NLT
“Dear brothers, think about this! You can be sure that the patriarch David wasn’t referring to himself, for he died and was buried, and his tomb is still here among us. But he was a prophet, and he knew God had promised with an oath that one of David’s own descendants would sit on his throne. David was looking into the future and speaking of the Messiah’s resurrection. He was saying that God would not leave him among the dead or allow his body to rot in the grave.
David pointed to the Christ who would defeat death.
David died and was buried.
David knew one of his descendants would sit on the throne in looking to the future.
GOD WOULD NOT LEAVE HIM AMONG THE DEAD OR ALLOW HIS BODY TO ROT IN THE GRAVE.

Overcomes Death and corruption

1 Corinthians 15:42–44 NLT
It is the same way with the resurrection of the dead. Our earthly bodies are planted in the ground when we die, but they will be raised to live forever. Our bodies are buried in brokenness, but they will be raised in glory. They are buried in weakness, but they will be raised in strength. They are buried as natural human bodies, but they will be raised as spiritual bodies. For just as there are natural bodies, there are also spiritual bodies.
Jesus shows us his awesome power and we will one day experience the totality of his power when he comes back again.
He is coming back again to claim all who call on Him.

Promise from the Resurrection

To all who Call on the name of the Lord will be saved .
They will all know that death has been defeated.
Will Receive the Power of the Holy Spirit.
Will worship Jesus as

The promise is because Jesus is Lord.

We have this promise by our faith in Jesus (NLT)

Acts 2:36 NLT
“So let everyone in Israel know for certain that God has made this Jesus, whom you crucified, to be both Lord and Messiah!”
Know one else could die on the cross for our sins but the Son of God.
Jesus is the Messiah, the anointed saving king to come to save his people.
He is Lord, God himself, and supreme above all kings.
Our God is Big and strong and mighty.
The Lord is Alive, He is Risen and because he is alive we may know Life by playing our faith in Him.
