Zechariah 4:8–10 NKJV
8 Moreover the word of the Lord came to me, saying: 9 “The hands of Zerubbabel Have laid the foundation of this temple; His hands shall also finish it. Then you will know That the Lord of hosts has sent Me to you. 10 For who has despised the day of small things? For these seven rejoice to see The plumb line in the hand of Zerubbabel. They are the eyes of the Lord, Which scan to and fro throughout the whole earth.”

God Values A Good Start

Galatians 5:7 NKJV
7 You ran well. Who hindered you from obeying the truth?
Laying the Foundation represented
The rebirth of the kingdom of Judah
The restoration after destruction and exile
Prophetic encouragement

Laying the foundation was not enough

The Prophet declares He would both
Lay the foundation
Finish the temple

God Values How We Run

1 Corinthians 9:24 NKJV
24 Do you not know that those who run in a race all run, but one receives the prize? Run in such a way that you may obtain it.

We must run to win

Why is running to win so important?

Those who run to win run
With Purpose
With Persistence
With the Prize in focus

God Values How We Finish

Matthew 24:10–13 NKJV
10 And then many will be offended, will betray one another, and will hate one another. 11 Then many false prophets will rise up and deceive many. 12 And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold. 13 But he who endures to the end shall be saved.
Just keep running
When offenses come
When you feel betrayed
When you feel hated
Ecclesiastes 9:11 NKJV
11 I returned and saw under the sun that— The race is not to the swift, Nor the battle to the strong, Nor bread to the wise, Nor riches to men of understanding, Nor favor to men of skill; But time and chance happen to them all.

We don’t alway feel deserving

Why ______ if I am not _____
Run, the Fastest
Fight, the strongest
Take the test, the smartest
Try, as good as others
God gives everybody
The Same Time
The Same Chance

God is working in you

Philippians 2:13 NKJV
13 for it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure.

God Values You

Ephesians 2:10 NKJV
10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.
God Doesn’t
Make mistakes
Make junk
Philippians 1:6 NKJV
6 being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ;

This is Paul’s Confidence

What God has started
Is a good work
Is at work in you
He will Finish
