Let’s think about the BLOOD for a moment this morning...
It was the precious blood of Christ, the sinless, spotless Lamb of God.
At the cross, Jesus’ blood was poured out—and it’s precious because it works.

It paid for our sin,
set us free, and brought us back to God.

It cleans us completely—

It covers and keeps us.
Like the blood over the doorposts, it’s not our perfect faith that saves us—it’s that God sees the blood.

We know storms will come.
We know Jesus meets us in them.
We know how to stand in faith.
But here’s the truth that changes everything:
Standing is temporary… but victory is permanent.
That’s what the empty tomb proves.

people look for signs about the future—but Easter gives a promise.
1. WE LOOK FOR SIGNS
People always want to know what’s coming next.
Like watching the weather…
like looking for signals…
We do the same thing in storms.
Even the women at the tomb did this.
They came unsure…
not knowing what they would find.
But very early on Sunday morning* the women went to the tomb, taking the spices they had prepared. They found that the stone had been rolled away from the entrance. So they went in, but they didn’t find the body of the Lord Jesus.
They came looking for a body—but found an empty tomb.
Truth:
We often come to God looking for answers…
but He gives us something greater—a promise.
2. THE EMPTY TOMB CHANGES EVERYTHING
The resurrection is not a symbol—it’s a declaration.
5 Then the angel spoke to the women. “Don’t be afraid!” he said. “I know you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. 6 He isn’t here! He is risen from the dead, just as he said would happen. Come, see where his body was lying.
“He is not here… He is risen.”
Everything shifts right here:
• Death is defeated
• Hope is alive
• The future is secure
20 But in fact, Christ has been raised from the dead. He is the first of a great harvest of all who have died.
21 So you see, just as death came into the world through a man, now the resurrection from the dead has begun through another man. 22 Just as everyone dies because we all belong to Adam, everyone who belongs to Christ will be given new life.
Jesus didn’t just rise—He became the first of many.
Because He rose up… we will too.
3. WE LIVE FROM PROMISE, NOT PREDICTION
Before the resurrection, people guessed.
After the resurrection, we know.
For we live by believing and not by seeing. We walk by faith, not by sight.
Faith is not wishful thinking—
it’s confidence in what God has already done.
Jesus said it clearly: “I am the resurrection and the life.”
25 Jesus told her, “I am the resurrection and the life.* Anyone who believes in me will live, even after dying. 26 Everyone who lives in me and believes in me will never ever die. Do you believe this, Martha?”
So the question is no longer:
What do I feel?
What do I see?
The question is:
What has God already said?
4. STORMS DON’T HAVE THE FINAL SAY
Storms are real—but they are not final.
Standing in a storm is temporary.
Victory is eternal.
But thank God! He gives us victory over sin and death through our Lord Jesus Christ.
He gives us victory through Jesus.
We are more than conquerors.
No, despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us.
Not barely surviving.
Not just getting by.
Overwhelming victory.
Why?
Because the worst thing—death—has already been defeated.
QUICK SUMMARY
• Recognize the storm—don’t deny it

No matter what storm you’re facing…
Jesus walked out of the grave.

The truth is, if there’s no desire to be cleansed again and again, we may have never truly come at all. But for those who have, there’s joy in this: the fountain is still open.
Yesterday’s encounter won’t sustain today’s soul.
Fresh grace comes from a present turning to Jesus.
So today—come again.
Look to Him.
Receive again.
Rest again.
The blood still speaks. And what it says is better than anything else you’ll ever hear.

The writer of Hebrews doesn’t say you studied it—he says you came.
That means movement.
That means surrender.
That means you left where you were and came to where He is.
You didn’t come polished.
You didn’t come deserving.
You came broken.
You came guilty.
You came empty-handed.
And even that coming wasn’t your doing—God drew you.
2. THE MESSAGE: THE BLOOD SPEAKS
“It is finished.” — John 19:30
Abel’s blood cried out for justice.
It said, something is wrong.
But Jesus’ blood speaks a better word.
It doesn’t cry out against you—
it cries out for you.
Every drop declares:
The debt is paid.
Sin has been dealt with.
You are made right.
When your heart condemns you, the blood speaks peace.
When your past accuses you, the blood answers back.
When shame tries to define you, the blood rewrites your story.
The blood is still speaking.
3. THE POSTURE: KEEP COMING
“Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith.” — Hebrews 10:22
Here’s where many drift:
Coming to Jesus is not a one-time event—
it is a daily posture.
The Christian life is not: “I came once.”
It is: “I am still coming.”
We don’t outgrow the cross.
We don’t move beyond the blood.
You needed Him then—
you need Him now.
Every day.
4. THE WARNING: DON’T LIVE ON YESTERDAY
“His mercies are new every morning.” — Lamentations 3:23
Some try to survive on yesterday’s encounter.
But yesterday’s grace won’t carry today’s burden.
You need fresh mercy.
Fresh cleansing.
Fresh surrender.
If there’s no desire to come again, something is off.
Because when you’ve truly tasted grace,
you don’t run from it—you run to it.
The believer doesn’t avoid the blood—
the believer depends on it.
5. THE RESPONSE: COME AGAIN TODAY
“Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace.” — Hebrews 4:16
So what do we do?
We come again.
Right now.
Today.
Again.
Not with pride—but with humility.
Not with strength—but with need.
Lift your eyes to the cross.
See the wounds.
Hear the voice:
“It is finished.”
Let that truth wash over your guilt.
Let it silence your shame.
Let it steady your soul.
CLOSING CALL
Church, don’t live off memory.
Don’t live off yesterday.
There is a living Savior.
There is a speaking blood.
There is an open way.
So come.
Come weary.
Come struggling.
Come needing mercy.
Because the blood still speaks—
and what it says is better than anything else you will ever hear.

What used to be distant and mysterious is now open and known.
The yearly sacrifices for sin are no longer needed. Jesus, our great High Priest, offered His own blood once and for all. Nothing more needs to be added.
And now, the way to God is open.
Not partially.
Not narrowly.
But fully—top to bottom.
This means anyone who trusts in Jesus can come freely into God’s presence.
You don’t have to stand far off.
You don’t have to wonder if you’re allowed.
You can come boldly.
Jesus didn’t just tear the curtain—He opened the way to heaven.
He holds the key. What He opens, no one can shut.
So come in.
Come close.
And live in the freedom He has made possible.
