What is the Kingdom of God like?
What is the Kingdom of God like?
1 Now I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away. Also there was no more sea. 2 Then I, John, saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. 3 And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying, “Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people. God Himself will be with them and be their God. 4 And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.”
It is perfect,
It is easy,
It is problem free.
It is a reward, retirement, a holiday. Who would not want to go there?
I DONT.
Creeds and Articles of Faith
Creeds and Articles of Faith
All about what we believe and our spiritual life.
Examples
All of these make you wanna go to heaven, or be with Jesus.
Sounds great. But I dont wanna go.
The Free Lunch, the Point?
The Free Lunch, the Point?
lf the whole purpose of life is to get to the Kingdom of God, why don’t you just die? Hades, Sleep, Heaven, Problem free then Jesus comes. Sounds like a good plan?
Why doesn’t he just come now?
If this is the whole purpose, the point, then why are we here in the first place?
If you have no purpose here, if you are not needed here, then obviously there is no point to being here. Is God just paying games with you?
If I take all these shortcuts, What have I done to deserve it?
Heaven is great, but the prospect of being a free loader on a free vacaction for all eternity makes me feel cheap and like a scammer. The person in the group who got the reward, but didn’t do the work. The grown man who is world champion of kindergarten soccer, He’s a champion!!!!.
The winner of the participation trophy. Win for showing up?
SO, if you want to be that guy, all the best. But I don’t want it.
Givers vs Takers
Givers vs Takers
two types of people, touched on last week, who say they are doing things for God when they are getting a service.
those who want to give to God in his name.
Benefit God by making a positive difference.
Those who want to Take from God in his name.
Want God to make our life positively different.
They want the free lunch, want the blessings, want to go to Heaven for nothing.
I can receive a lot in heaven, my life is better in Heave, I can be the ultimate Taker in heaven.
How does my presence in Heaven make Heaven Better? How does my presence in Heaven make a positive difference?

Priest, over Jesus?
YOU are on holiday. Relaxing for free.
I cannot be a giver in heaven, because I cannot make a positive difference in heaven. So, If you are a giver, you don’t want to Go to heaven.
How, then, can I be a giver?
How, then, can I be a giver?
Can you make a positive difference on earth?
We are here and God makes no mistakes. So he must have put us here for a reason. We are Supposed to do something here, in this life, for this world. Not just try to go to Heaven or just take take take until we go to heaven and take some more.
God is a giver and he keeps on giving. If we have his likeness, we will be givers too.
13 These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off were assured of them, embraced them and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth.
We are foreigners here on Earth, we are here on a mission before we return Home.
Heaven is home, Earth is the work.
13 The end of the matter; all has been heard. Fear God and keep his commandments, for this is the whole duty of man. 14 For God will bring every deed into judgment, with every secret thing, whether good or evil.
DO GOOD on this earth, Then you can return to your reward, your rest, your holiday. You are here on Earth for a purpose. You are here to make this place better.
Disciples’ Creed
Disciples’ Creed
Our creed is different. It emphasis not just our reward in heaven, but our purpose here.
We believe humans are made in God's image as his ambassadors on Earth instructed to (DIME (take Dominion, Improve the World, and Multiply people who do the same, and Emulate God.))
We heard in our very first sermon that:
•God trusts us and believes in us.
He has entrusted us with massive responsibility to subdue and dominate the earthge.
We can make the world a better place if we tap into:
Our capacity as powerful creators and problem solvers.
•Our capacity to lead with Light, not negativity;
•Our capacity to separate the light from the darkness.
•Our capacity to speak life, and order, And if we TRUST, TRY, remain consistent – nothing can stop us.
I dont want to go to heaven...
I dont want to go to heaven...
Yet. I want to do my Good Work here, and give a positive difference, before I go home.
Yet. I want to do my Good Work here, and give a positive difference, before I go home.
Amen
During Repentence, do not ask what God can do for you, but what you can do for God. What can you do to make this Earth better and bring it nearer to God.
