VIRTUES AND VALUE OF THANKSGIVING THAT MAKES OUR CASE DIFFERENT
Numbers 14:28
Say unto them, As truly as I live, saith the Lord, as ye have spoken in mine ears, so will I do to you:
The Parable of the Two Farmers
"The Kingdom of Heaven is like two farmers who both received a bag of golden seeds from the King.
The first farmer looked at his seeds and complained, 'Is this all? The field is so vast, and these seeds are so few.' He planted them with a heavy heart, grumbling every day about the rain and the heat. By harvest time, his stalks were thin, and the birds of the air devoured his small yield because he had built no fence of gratitude around his field.
The second farmer fell to his knees and kissed the bag. 'Thank you, My King, for the potential held within these seeds.' Every morning, he tilled the soil with a song of praise. Because he cherished the seeds, the King sent a special dew to water his field that the other farmer never saw. His harvest was so great that it fed the entire village, and the King gave him ten more fields to manage.
For the first farmer, the seed was a burden; for the second, the seed was a blessing.
In these end times, many have become like the first farmer—seeing only what is missing and forgetting what they have been given.
VIRTUES AND VALUES OF THANKSGIVING
1. Thanksgiving is the same secret ingredient to sustain current blessings: Mal 2:2
If you can’t thank God for what you have, the future of what you have is not guaranteed!
Psm 68:19
2. Thanksgiving is the secret ingredient to guaranteeing future blessings and changing unpleasant situations, Psm 50:23
It is not just that you will lose what He gave you, but ungratefulness blocks future blessings from getting to you.
3. Thanksgiving is the secret ingredient that guarantees the multiplication of current resources, John 6:11-12
HOW AND WHEN DO WE THANK GOD
1. We thank God at all times, Ps. 34:1
2. We thank God Morning and Night, Psm 92:2. In the morning, find something to thank God for, and at night, find something from all your experiences during the day to thank God for.
3. Thank God in the midst of everything, 1Thess 5:18
WHAT DO WE THANK GOD WITH
*Give him back whatsoever He has given you.
- If it is finances you want to thank God for
- If it's healthy, use your body to serve God.
- If it is the salvation of your soul, then you go out to bring others. Evangelize to Others!
- If it marriage you are thanking God for, make sure that marriage brings glory to God.
Your case becomes different the moment your gratitude becomes greater than your request. Don't let your "expectations" blind you to your "estimations" of God's goodness.
