But what happens when i do?
does my life change?
and if so… how does that happen?
WHAT IF I TOLD YOU THAT YOU WERE BORN WRONG? (sounds offensive, and i guess if it gets someones attention, then thats fine)
we are all born into this world wrong, fallen, at odds in SIN and with no ability to make our wrongness. right ness
THEN JESUS CAME, Born of a virgin, baptised in the jordan, filled with the spirit and went to the cross died, rose again on the third day, appeared… ascended… and now is seated (finished) and in Christ
i am made right.
His life. His word - are what i cling to for salvation!
Well - what the bible does is take us in our incorrect state and brings us back into alignment with the kingdom. This is the transofmring power of the word. It has the power, to take my life, to take your life - and make it RIGHT.
We have to accept some things
our fallen state, our sin nature - is at odds with Gods righteousness.
THE BIBLE IS LIKE A SUPERNATURAL LEVEL: It shows me where im “off”
where im “wrong”
and…. how to make things “right”.
16 And I will lead the blind in a way that they do not know, in paths that they have not known I will guide them. I will turn the darkness before them into light, the rough places into level ground. These are the things I do, and I do not forsake them.
5 Every valley shall be filled, and every mountain and hill shall be made low, and the crooked shall become straight, and the rough places shall become level ways,

God has made me right in Christ - but now my spirit and my soul and my body have to come into alignment with my new identity in Christ
I have to become who i am, through a holy process called “Sanctification”
How do i walk that out?
well the bible shows me, if i am willing to look, where i am off

***example: what if i told you that this guy was saved, but still being sanctified!!!
Colossians 4:6 “6 Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how you ought to answer each person.”

but its also a flashlight.
105 Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.
If you want direction in your life - there is only one place to look. The bible is what gives me the direction i need
its a flashlight in the dark place
its the lamp that guides me as i look for the right decisions.
